Agreed ... The browse location feature within Grindr is not accurate. When I'm considering travel between a couple choices I use fakegps to get an accurate idea of guys in the area. Either stop blocking this or actually improve the accuracy of the browse location function within your app.

Good evening dear sir/madam. Unfortunately I will cancel my Grindr account after using for 8 years as I can't change my location. I used that a lot to book a hotel for work and to avoid my neighbours seeing me online. I have no privacy on Grindr anymore. I have some friends doing the cancellation as well due to this issue. Thanks for the 8 years.

Lets cancel grindr account and stop using it until they bring back the fake gps location. I hate that my neighbor sees me on grindr

Used to be able to use the app with fake gps apps; others would be able see you unlike the explore feature built in. That way you can actually explore and talk to people in that area before you visit.

Really bad decision Grindr. You have removed choice! I dont want people at my door unexpectedly! Often spending time in a rural place, Im very very easily identified. You are placing users at risk. I underatand you want to prevent spam; but this is not the answer. Guys are still a waste of time wherever they are...after all...if yiu are going to meet, you can pick a place despite where the app thinks you are

That would be handy for those who doesn’t want to be seen close by. I.e a further distance of 2-5km especially in countries where it’s better to live in the closet.

I agree with this comment, allow mock locations again for safety and communication.
