Dear Grindr,
This an important message. I understand that in the recent update Grindr has disallowed usage of "Mock GPS". But Please lend me an ear for a minute.
There are many like me who still have to live and work in insensitive areas. Where local people are insensitive, apathetic and hateful towards LGBT community.
My recent experience of using the app in the small town I'm working at was bitter. Everyday I get followed by a local Gay guy from my office to my local residence. Another guy ended up blackmailing me and it was reported too.

My point is, Grindr is not just a dating app for many like me. It's way for me to stay connected to lgbt community. I need to use the mock location to stay safe and access Grindr from cities where I don't face any threat yet I'm able to have dozens of healthy conversations with many people, many of whom have eventually become friends with me.

Please do consider rolling back disablement of using mock location. It's a life saver.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this one is pretty easy to figure out. The “programmers” working for grindr can’t keep up with the hundreds or thousands of hacker/fake/bots flooding this app, all of which use some sort of gps spoofing trickery. Those bots affect nearly every single user of this platform, making this a situation of “the good of the many over the good of the few”.

To cut down on time wasting certain categories should be mandatory and the answers should be limited to a drop-down menu. Age, ethnicity, height, weight, body type, NSFW pics, hiv status and gender, should all be mandatory.

Allow Fake gps to change location within 100 km as to divert anyone from roughly calculating my location. Homosexuality is a punishable crime in my country, so I don't want anyone to roughly calculate my location or to be found out my neighbors who could be just playing around to find my picture near them and thus giving away my location and getting bullied or getting arrested in my own home for using this app which I just use to connect with like minded lgbtqa people.

Stop messing around with this - let people spoof their GPS - stop ******* around with this. Let people control where they want their GPS to be. Stop playing GOD

It is a shame!! Again "gps simulation" is disabled; 2 months ago, its use was enabled, but in the last update it is blocked, we need to be safer when we go to the street. It is not nice to walk and be followed with insults or threats. Please we need it to be enabled again and to be part of the application options, so we should not download external applications.

I think grindr should implement mandatory fields to be completed before you can save your profile.
It would not only make it that bit more interesting, but it would also save frustration for the genuine people who are prepared to read a good profile because they are generally looking for that certain person.

I live in Middle East thanks Grindr for putting me at risk now I unable to fake location. I cancel Grindr Extra and Ap. Use Scruff. They not put your live at risk.
