I received a proposition for a father who was looking for a room to rent in my home and made explicit comments that his 15 year old underage son, who was going to rent the room with him, was bait for ****** advances, showing me illicit pictures of him having *** with his son. I never agreed to have *** with his 15 year old son, although it was clear he was using his son to allure me. I decided to block him, which somehow created a ban on my GRINDR usage. I m now unable to have a GRINDR account and I guess that he was angry that I blocked him, reported me and probably made false accusations. For all GRINDR users, be aware of this hoax. He sent me pictures of himself n his son, in ****** activity, and now I cannot create a new account. The man is supposed Malay, EARLY 50s, with a moustache. His 15 year old son is supposedly a student who also plays soccer. Can anyone advise me please what can I do? Thank you.

Yes, some users create anonymous accounts in order to offend other users. Often they block before it is possible to register a complaint.

If a profiles created on a device are banned multiple times, surely you can just ban that device from making new profiles. That would help slow down the local escorts and drug dealers at least.

It would be quite easy to include a verification process. Blender/Badoo have facial recognition to verify - so based on the photos you upload it has to match or your account is Banned.
I love it, as I don’t talk to unverified ‘thots’.

Many people on this app ask for various LGBTQ identifications. They claim that they are for age verification, or to prove that one is not an offender against the LGBTQ community. Most of these sites are scams, that try to steal credit card information.(I have been charged over $80 by these "sites", that are supposed to just verify your identity.) Grindr needs it's own offender/age verification, so that we no longer have to worry about being scammed. If anyone tries to use an outside site, they should be blocked and warned.

In order to better screen out the prolific fake profiles and scams that are currently on Grindr, there should be a symbol or indication of some kind on the profiles that have been verified in some way by Grindr.

There is no way to totally verify anyone, and let's face it people lie.all you can really do is be smart and not give your personal info out.thats why you use this app and communicate here.use common sense and meet in public first time.there is no way to police all the scammers.i dont think this is the answer its infringing on privacy and complicates the system more.the cheats will figure it out.

Hello!
I have three questions: (1) Does Grindr offer a service that would block screenshot capability for profile photos? For instance, I pay for an elevated account, which allows me to send images that not only expire, but are also unable to be captured by screenshot capability. It's AMAZING😆! (2) My second question is about the "favorites" feature. Is there a way for me to view profiles that have added me to their "favorites" list without me knowing about it? Imagine this: a person from somewhere on Earth has surreptitiously added you to their "favorites" list only to monitor you, adding your pictures to their collection everytime you post a new one 😲. (3) If these protective features are not available, are the developers working on a solution 😌? I am READY to pay that service😕.

In my last email I pointed out your hegemony. I wanted to point out it is not unlike the American hegemony on reproductive rights. An American government forcing their religious view on countries that accept aid from the us! You are forcing your religious or what ever view that you have ir whatever prevents you from allowing massage or other forms of prostitution. Your clients are very desirous of my services. Yet you continually deny them this service. Prudes.
I have lost four clients the last two weeks because of your antiquated policies. 4 client means the difference between paying my rent, food or medicine. To you it's just some random rule which has real human costs which you apparently care nothing about. Prostitution is perfectly legal in Mexico where I currently reside. Yet your overreaching hegemony force the world to live under your puritanic values. Grow up grindr.
What exactly is the problem? Are you being scrutinized by some federal agency, or do you just think prostitution is icky! Well morality is in eye of the beholder. I'm just trying to make a living from willing customers of yours. I don't force anything on any one. Its adult!

Just like users ratings (or stars) on Uber we should be able to have 5 star users shown before lower rating users in the grid. We would be able to have real (and kind) users ahead of jerks and escorts. Blocking users is not useful anymore as escorts (and jerks) create new accounts everytime.

This honestly sounds like a good idea I hope Grindr sees it and takes it into account

I strongly urge Grindr to start using Photo ID Verification to verify the users that sign up to use the app.
This will help for many reasons:
- will help reduce the number of bots in the app
- will increase the safety for everyone and create a safe space/community
- will avoid the number of fake profiles, including those who are underage
- will decrease the number of scammers and thieves
- for this one I believe Grindr should keep a record of the ID to help identify someone of and when they commit a crime to help the police get to the perpetratorThis would not exploit any type of personal information, as only Grindr would be seeing the IDs and in some way tagging the profile with a official verification stamp.
Grindr could be a way safer place with this type of safety and security measures. Making it more friendly for everyone and a place with less issues.
