I've been a LOYAL grindr user for years now and really enjoy using the app. Sadly today when I went to check the app it told me I was "banned". I instantly tried to re-sign back into my account just in case there was something wrong with my wifi. Turns out there was no wifi issue, grindr actually "banned" me. It's very upsetting because I do not abuse the app the way I've heard some do. I also was an EXTRA member (paid membership). This is very concerning to me since I've tried re making an account with new email and it said the same "BANNED" nonsense right after I made a new account. I DO NOT agree with an app company that has the right to block an entire device from using there app. This is ridiculous I want my account back. Since I'm hearing a lot of people are having this problem I'm sure it's just a major glitch. Funny how everyone complaining about this is saying "why me" I didn't do anything. I feel they're targeting the wrong accounts.

How is it an “invasion“ of privacy? You are the one who uploaded the pictures. Stop crying! Just delete them and the next time you want to upload a photo think twice.

Have a video or picture be uploaded as verification that or course has to be the same as the person in the profile pic and this verification should be checked each time a new picture is uploaded

View photos for free since most of us don’t like seeing profiles without a photo on their profile

As much as we pay for this app, the amount of spam and bots is astronomical. Lower the price and do nothing, lose customers because of price and spam, or figure out ways to get rid of these nuances.

Boo hoo. Fake profiles, multiple profiles. Those who are demanding government issued ID are simply being racist and elitist - "none of them dark-skinned poor people on MY Grindr!" Q1

Everyone should know who they are chatting with the best way is to have a profile photo, it should be taken at creation of profile with a clear view of the face and expire every 30days rendering the profile unable to use without a proper profile photo. I believe when I profile has no photo to be a form of harassment, who wouldn’t talk to a hidden faceless figure in person why should we have to put up with it on here.

if they implement this feature someone else will find another way for a fake...
have you ever considered that these fake-profiles might be wanted to enrich the content...? -

Cuenta inhabilitada de por vida?? Tuve una tipica discursion con un usuario bastante desagradable que acabó por denunciarme la cuenta y ahora jamás podre usar la app de nuevo? Me parece ridiculo.

They have started using all the roses and flowers to promote prostitutes. You really have to figure it out with the high levels of drug sales and prostitutes. It’s not a site to meet guys anymore!

You will be able to only allow certain people to see your profile pictures. The the option go to a profile and click and option to “allow to view pictures”

When setting up a new account the user should record a video showing themselves. Then when they come to upload a new profile pic, the Grindr staff should check that the face resembles the face in the video submitted. If it doesn’t, it should be flagged.
Money apps like monzo require users to verify their identity with a video message.

This place has become a swamp for prostitutes and fake profiles. For the price I pay I expect a safe environment. For those that have privacy concerns stay awày then
