These blank profiles really are starting to get on my nerves. I understand some aren't "out".
However, be more reassuring if a better verification system was set in place, such as a phone verification or something, so it would be less likely to be a stalker or a fake account using pictures.
Can't quite understand why it's taking this long to do this request. When almost every other app asks you to enter your phone number when signing up or in.
Personally, it's laziness from this company. Even more so when you pay for unlimited a month!

I think that it is irritating that you can see the profiles that you have blocked
There are a reason why you have blocked them
Don’t understand how people that you have blocked still contact you -

Security is key.. especially to the users on this app.. I understand certain things cannot be required to be put public... However requiring an ID, would be extremely beneficial..at least to have a sort of a "verified profile" type of attribute would be cool.. there is many users on here who not only catfish but there are also possible underage users.. I feel it is your duty to at the LEAST put some sort of VERIFIED attribute to a person who is THEMSELVES! Ams the rest can go on and go about their business...! But please we have gone over and over and over and over with fake profiles.... Can this company please think about the issues it has brought us and myself... Not only is there your own friends catfishing.. possibly come workers maybe family... There are people who would appreciate individuals who would be an actual VERIFIED member.. Grindr is a circus full of catfishes and it needs to be stopped.. and this would be a way for us as real individuals who are actually actually looking for love or a real hookup without feeling like this person isn't taking who they are and possibly is a familiar face and just wants nudes... Please give us an option to verify ourselves as a real person. We deserve this option!

I have same concern. I have blocked one guy atleast 20 times and have reported him also yet he keeps messaging me with new profile. It gets old pretty quick and when they don't take the hint what are you to do. Blocking and reporting goes unnoticed. Paying profile hounded by fake or stalker profiles.

Pesimo servicio.

Having the photos only or face photos filter as a free filter was a game changer. Some of us don’t want to talk to blank profiles at all. Please make it a free feature again otherwise being on this app is a waste. I want to see who I’m talking to and I shouldn’t have to pay $100+ a year for that.

In countries from South America, due to the inexistent human moderation for the profiles; Grindr it's a standard of "Pokemon GO for drugs" that means: Grindr now it's known for a big amount of drugs and police free black market. This is now an opression for gay men and gay people in general because grindr was the gay male app for excellence, but now it's a place for hetero males and females black market, even they are looking for hookups due to the popularity of the app in the hetero illegal drug world. We need STRONG human moderation, not that lame technology that it's AI or artificial intelligence, which it's easy to fool.

A feature should be built into the app to prohibit a person's phone from taking screenshots while in-app. If not that, then in the event a screenshot is taken, the captured image is "corrupted" and cannot be viewed. And furthermore, if not that, then the original owner of the photo should receive a notification that a screenshot had been taken.
There are innumerable instances of people's photos being captured via screenshot and then recirculated throughout the community without the owner's knowledge or express permission. It is a violation of the owner's privacy and can be tangibly and intangibly damaging to the owner's life and livelihood.
These are not novel ideas, they have been mentioned before, but I believe they are worth repeating. Please consider the implications and ramifications of unauthorized screenshots and vote for this feature.

Blocked profiles continue to come up on searches and although blocked, they can still see my profile and send messages.

How about instead of CONTROLLING peoples features buttons like ethnicity...you actually sit there and remove all these spam and fake profiles. I get 5–9 messages a day from profiles asking me to join other websites. But no instead you choose to remove something that majority of the people use And pay for. I dont pay for the upgrade charge to be harassed by fake profiles

The problem with this is that it is an invasion of privacy. There are people that for one reason or another do not want to put their photographs on the internet. The use of the mobile number won't work well either because it's easily spoofed. The easier way to address spam and the like would be to correlate IP addresses between accounts and to block future signups after say 10 or so accounts exist under the IP. Another security improvement on this front would be to block access via the Tor network.

Many guys in here Tucson az have more than four fake profiles, most of them are druggies , insecure with their bodies and others are the plugs ( drug dealers) that use this platform as a free advertising and sale vehicle. Since grindr doesn't verify 100% of its members blocking , not allowing, or preventing thus individuals with such blank profiles from messaging and tapping legit members will avoid many members from leaving grindr to pay for a better service to other more secured websites.
