I suggest that any user have a unique ID and should post a picture with this ID (written on a paper) with face and arms visible

Your moderators are worthless! They’re either pedarists or puritsns. No consistency and no rhyme nor reason for their idiocy... shut the app down while it’s still your choice!

Also a SAFETY concern. If I block someone, I don’t want them to see me online. Yet they still can. What’s the point of block then?!

IMEI (device) banning should not be a thing. I do not feel comfortable with Grindr keeping my details of my exact device and all its connections as I’m not out and not planning on coming out any time soon.
It’s also unfair to completely block someone from making a new account. Especially when they have been banned for no reason, as I and many others have been. Users should be made aware of why they were banned. Nobody reads the user agreement. Tell me what, if anything, I did wrong instead of just being faced with a stock “your account was banned” message with no recourse. Sort this out Grindr! -

Back to haunt them. I have lawyers looking into this. They take people’s money and ban their accounts for minimal bullshkt things . It’s pathetic and they are gonna be shut down.scruff is way better with communication. People are onto grindr. Too many people are getting banned daily and with paid accounts and it’s getting so suspicious. -

Is it not blatantly obvious to users & voters that this implementation would reduce grindrs advertising dollar revenue?
We are all porns in Grindrs marketing strategy to increase the company’s net worth & bottom line.
If Grindr was genuine in its spiel of protecting the community & users this function would have been implemented when users safety was first compromised.
Grindr is fully aware of the fake profiles, cat fishers & desperados who operate with Grindrs (unsaid) permission, why? To increase Grindrs bottom line.
Grindr allows your safety & identity to be at risk due to its greed and hunger of $$$$.
Don’t fool yourselves, Grindr couldn’t care less about the community, yourself or your identity.
Actions Speak Louder than Words
Use your smarts, do not be fooled by Grindrs words and protect yourselves.

Grindr really this should have been done YEARS ago you have a duty of care to all of us (as well as us taking care too of course ) I have lost count of stupid sex party cruising (especially dangerous in present times) parties Afghanistan ex army etc !! Those that won’t support it are mainly those who are doing this in the first place, must be creative ways you can keep those that need to be - discreet ??

Having been banned twice and knowing many others who are in the same situation, a collective consensus has been agreed upon that Grindr’s policy for banning accounts is gratuitous and exercised haphazardly and without any recourse by the banned party.
A return to actual customer service with a real human and not a computer would solve many misunderstandings that result in real personal loss of ability for gay men to find one another and create connections that often are more than just ****** in nature. For those users who live in countries or cities where being out is dangerous, it can be the only real connection they have ave, through no fault of their own, they can be banned by an algorithm.

Had an experience this morning where I called someone out on some abusive and unacceptable things they said; he abused me and then blocked me, so I couldn’t report him.

Making a new profile should require Id photos- to copy the example i.e with a hand up or something
The photo can be compared to new pictures being put up to see if it's the same person
Will limit the obvious fake profiles but won't do much for people with random other pictures -
