There are SO MANY fake profiles on Grindr these days, mostly scams trying to get you to sign up to something fake, ultimately taking your money. It happened to me a few years back and luckily I managed to get my money back. It's too easy to set up a profile. There should be at least some basic verification process where you have to prove that you are a real person. I report 2 or 3 profiles PER DAY that are clearly fakes.

I really want to get back on Grindr
What out any problems I didn't do anything wrong the reason why I am banned on Grindr because my friend Brett Johnson made a plate about me on his app on Grindr and got me kicked off and I did not post anything on my back room page the only thing I posted on my back row page were saying I like hanging out with my family and saying I like hanging out with my friends and saying I like playing at card game of Yu-Gi-Oh with my sister-in-law a Japanese card game of Yu-Gi-Oh that's all I posted on my background profile page so I don't understand why I can't just go back on I didn't do anything wrong -

A mi me ha pasado lo mismo, me han inhabilitado mi cuenta y no me deja crear ninguna más, vaya mierda, te bloquean sin argumentos ni criterios y no te dicen el porqué ni la posibilidad de seguir usando la app.

In my area some underage guy and his older brother are getting older men in trouble. The underage one gets on and talks to older men then accuses them of being pedophiles. Anyone using the app should have to provide a photo ID to prove age.

When I block a profile, the thumbnail still shows in my grid. When I select a person’s thumbnail to see their profile, it says I have already blocked them. Why are they still showing in the grid? They clog up my grid and don’t allow fresh profiles to be seen.

Something really needs to be done about the proliferation of massage scams on Grindr. There is nothing legitimate about having to book a massage with a ridiculous $3 booking fee online giving an unknown entity access to ones credit info!

My account was banned for NO reason. I emailed them, and all they said was I violated their guidelines, which I didn’t. I’ve had my Grindr account for manyyy years and this has never happened to me before. And every time you email them, it’s an automated response. The customer service is very unprofessional. And for the amount of money you spend with them, to just block your account for NO reason at all. But yet other people can have inappropriate things on their profile and in their bio and that’s ok with Grindr. Very unhappy with this, and literally have no clue what to do. Also I was talking to some pretty decent guys for one and now this happened.

Chat backups are nice and profile photos stay good if you change phones. It would be nice to backup in-app photos as well. I had to retake photos all over again after I got a new phone. I prefer in-app photos as opposed to sharing photos from my local phone storage.

Expiring photos are great but not always practical. Having the ability to send someone a pic, but then ensure it disappears when you want it to should be available as a basic option. The only other way to do this right now is to block the other users who you've sent the pic to.. again, not very practical. The proposed feature is good for those who value privacy and discretion (i.e. most users)

I was given the same ban. Main problem is it is now linked to the device, meaning you cannot resell your device saying it full works because if someone buys it they still won’t be able to access Grindr as the ban is linked to the imei number. I have raised this with Apple directly who have launched a full investigation as it is stopping the resale of their products. I suggest you all do the same. The more voice the more Grindr will hve to stop banning devices and ban users like they use to. At the moment I cannot sell my phone and Grindr have blocked me from emailing them as well

It would be better to have strong verification of the user. May be not in the suggested way. There are con men that threaten and take money & valuables. Especially in countries where the legality is non existent. Myself being a victim, got to know there are many victims like me. Can't go to police either.

6 terms as a Senior Board member of AVER (LGBTQ Vet Advocacy group), 1993 March on Washington, member of numerous gay social groups and several web groups, A4A, Manhunt, Growlr and a dozen or so more. And NEVER, EVER was I banned from anything. Until Grindr. Like all of you I was banned with no explanation, no ability to defend myself, just a cruel insensitive message saying you are banned. It reminds me of the police raids on Gay Bars, arresting unsuspecting people for no reason and allowing no defense. The very practice I have spent my life protesting. Grindr appears to be in the same league as these cruel police raids. It is a cruel, insensitive practice, and should be far from acceptable to a free people. This practice of indefensible banning should be banned. Immediately.

Defiantly a must have feature.
Its absurd that someone can violate all terms of service and still get away with it.
