It makes me think that someone at Grindr is the one sending the spam messages or is getting kickbacks.

Why is Grindr doing absolutely nothing about the huge uptick in spam messages?
Why can't you block the posting of web sites for starters? -

I can understand why automatic message vetting to remove spam bots can be a privacy issue.
Then make it easier for people to handle spams. Instead of the 4, 5 clicks you have to do on each spam bots to 1) report the chat and consent, and 2) manually delete the chat, make it so you have to go through fewer screens after you hit the Spam button, and please automatically delete the chat. No one wants to keep those chats on their chat list. Being able to spam report multiple chats would be nice too, because there are A LOT of them.

This doesn’t work if someone is going to steal someone’s identity they are going to at least take multiple pics as well

Gayfuck.com everyday to no end. Someone in your organization has to be getting kick backs. This is a known issue you are unwilling to address. Your in app spam is down right viral.

I like the idea, however, no one should be rewarded for reporting spam..

Two users should have to share message with each other before a link / image etc. can be shared. This will drastically reduce spam.

I get messages almost every day with a single Website from a spammer.. I hope Grindr would filter or stop messages with ONLY a single URL in the message part.. would be an easy filter to program

Seriously, the screenshot says it all. This is a daily thing. And not to mention how the bots literally fill up the entire area around me. It's a wonder if you're ever talking to anyone real.

Dear Grindr. I suggest you that instead of taps, you should create an option for escorts and masseurs. Taps is a very stupid tool that suply to the historical Hi Hello...etc. Instead that, allow to masseurs ans escorts work in the app charging us for being advertised in a different section of the app, in the place of apps. You could make business with it. Thank you

Fucking administration and coders are lying to us all. One can easily filter for the same fuckin spam websites that shows up over and over again. My guess is they own these websites. Grindr is spaming us thats why they don't stop it.

It’s been over a decade now and yet we are still plagued with taps and messages from spam accounts AT LEAST 10x a day. If you can automatically detect and block certain words and emojis in profiles, why not expand that to recognize spam accounts? Words and phrases such as: Cash, Allowance, Sugar Baby, Debt(s), Bill(s), 500, 1000, 2000, Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, Zelle, etc. are all only used by these predatory scammers and for some reason y’all don’t acknowledge or fix the problem. Make it happen!

Ads they are.
Spam never stops despite reporting and blocking. I know about IP spoofing but really I believe this spam/advertising comes from Grindr servers generated by Grindr. It's a very poor experience for your users. Seems you don't mind frustrating your customers, paying or otherwise. -

I agree with this I attempt to block all faceless photo profiles and it's back the next day and have had threats of people going to show up at my house and drive their car through my house for simply saying no to blank profiles I'm just about over grinder

Whenever I open grindr I see page filled with guys providing paid services. I feel like I am using an escort app rather than grindr which is supposed to be used for meeting other gays for dating, networking and mutual fun.

Please stop spamming from profiles that generate this, block IP addresses and enter verification with ID card, driver's license or selfie !!! Why does the application constantly generate new profiles for people aged 18 to 25, 26 ???

This will create more users on Grindr, on top of that, this will provide a real live time feature on anyone wanting to link up with that other person. Live feature will take out bots, profanity, substance abuse, and also give a glimpse of the other persons reality > GrindrLive > Glive > Live feature is beneficial to both consumers and producers as investing in this new feature will give a boost in the dating app industry (competitors like Tinder,Bumble,MeetMe,Skout, etc…)

Everytime im being sent spam messages, inreport them but Grindr then hits me with adverts. Thats just not acceptable, and this problem should be solved asap. Grindr should really think about actually sending a courtesy message to those who have reported issues such as serious ones, for example underage kids on Grindr!! If Grindr does not step up its game, it will be finding legal issues in the future.
