It's getting stupid now, believe that Grindr is responsible for these spam messages for revenue issues, but for a start DONT CLICK ON IT definitely DONT FILL IN DETAILS.
But if Grindr needs revenue why don't they make subscription a fair amount of money and I'm sure a lot of us will pay just to filter out faceless profiles for a start then give us the power to filter outside spammers and scammers. But possible Grindr makes more revenue spamming us and pry on gullible folk to click on the link.

Also banned, took 6 weeks to get a response similar to the below "decision is final", etc... have a feeling it was either some troll account blocking and reporting me or some guy who I asked how much his (totally rad) mountain bike was, maybe it automatically picks up $ symbols??

Yes, I do not understand why blocked profiles are getting automatically unblocked. WHY IS GRINDR DOING THIS? Are they so made about subscriptions.

A blocked person just sent me a message, saying that he enjoys my pics so much... when I click on his profile it says that he is blocked and I cannot write to him.
Then why the h... can he write me and see my pics - what is the use of blocking then ? Fix it NOW, Grindr!!!

Grindr needs to investigate reports properly
Not Just take someone’s word for it

Before someone sends a report they should send proof with their report.

If what someone reports you for is True they would have proof to send in

If not this idea, allow every user access to expiring photos. Pic collectors are extremely annoying and on the rise.

We are not evening talking about keeping the original quality of the pic, just not to be this goddamn awful. Downgrading it a bit is understandable, making your pics barely recognizable in 2021 is absolute atrocious. One of the worst features of this app and one of the only apps left that uses such outdated systems.

I agree. It has been happening to me. I have even had blocked people send me messages after being blocked. It makes no sense whatsoever. Very disappointing and mediocre features.

Also banned (device ban) with no explanation. Have not heard back from help desk despite repeated attempts.

People gonna be talking about people being blocked and they come back? Well, what about a person who is "serial banned" by someone who just doesn't like them? I know someone who has been banned 3 times in 6 months because of ONE person bragging he has been reporting him and falsifying his report. So, little does this person reporting him know that the person he's having banned is back online, and watching his every move. Why does a person repeatedly get to do that, without being noticed? We live in a small town, and there are very few of us on the grid..so, we all pretty much know one another, like it or not. But, the person I'm speaking of is getting tired of this person constantly doing this to him...so, what is he supposed to do, and where can a solution be found?

Grindr needs to have a verification feature where you can match your profile pics with a photo you take and send to moderators, like we do with our profile pics. Then profiles can have a blue tick, or similar, so people know who is real and who is fake. If apps like Tinder or bumble can do it, why can’t Grindr. It will make everyone safer, ensure that people are chatting safely and if someone send other photos or people meet up they know they’re not meeting a catfish.

Got banned, don't know why and then I noticed I was being billed for xtra starting on the banned date. i suspect I was hacked but can't get any response from Grindr other than comunity standards blah, blah, blah. I hope they crash and burn

People can get away with making false reports cause Grindr doesn’t ask for proof or evidence

No supporting evidence No ban simple

By law it’s a criminal offence to make a false report it can lead to 15 years imprisonments if found Guilty by court of Law

Every upload profile photos must be verified. Non clear face photos are not allowed. I found many fake here. People don’t use their own photos and using other people photos to send each other. So many scammers! Waste of time spend with this app!
