Honestly feel like y’all hate trans women on here. I’ve heard horror stories from many about being blocked and banned on this site for absolutely nothing. Like I’d love to know why I’m like being shadow banned on here or is it something else?? Bc last time I was on this app like a month ago I would get viewed and message all the time hundreds of views a night but now I get one view per hr!? What is the meaning of this????

Require ID verification to prevent underage pornography and fake, phishing profiles.

Like others I also think this must be intentional. Nothing else could explain such willful inaction.
I'm also suspicious that it may be a violation of GDPR, since spam is within its purview.

I think you should be able to put verification about people on here after you’ve met them.
As we are having more and more bad experiences on Grindr.
My own experience. I’ve had stuff stolen money stolen. Last year I was drugged and raped.
.People just think the app now for the time wasters and people with an Agenda -

- For 'massage therapists' you've already blocked the word massage. But there are still profiles getting around this asking people to sign up to 'refundable deposit' which are in fact signing them up to scam websites with expensive subscriptions. I work in IT Security, I've done the investigation here! You could use a URL verification tool to block untrustworthy sites. But also go further in detecting the language of scammers. There are tools to do this, I'm sure!
- There are less people trying to make out they are American soldiers who turn out to have photos belonging to other people. But we need to verify identity in a more secure way! Some of the other apps are doing this in a crowd sourcing way by getting other users to confirm people are genuine. Worth consideration.
- Still need to block users sending web links to 'have a good time', am guessing Web calls on your platform creating users and doing this in an automated way? Again URL filtering and blocking. -

When you sign up or if you have signed up, you have to prove you're over 18 by taking a photo next to your driver's licence or form of id, if the id matches the photo of yourself on profile and you are 18+, you get to be on the app, there are too many minors on this app, they pretend they are over the age of 18 and it is becoming dangerous for everyone, either minors having sex and then regretting it or not getting their way and they file a police report against someone older, even if the older person doesn't know the minors real age, so I urge you to perform id checks or a valid proof that someone is 18+

A lot of people create profiles to harass people and I think that's wrong, there must be more security filters that only allow profiles with a photo in their profile
In addition, screen capture should be avoided in all application modalities to avoid being displayed on other social networks by unscrupulous people. It is my humble opinion -

I've been victim to use of my pictures in fake profiles, extorted to friends for my encounters and this feature is very necessary to me. I have even deleted, reported this app for not considering more safety. I've gone that far, know your channels.

If it's geosocial but you have people around who are discreet and don't show face unless it's somewhat private, what happens when you run into an awkward family member encounter or etc? and then things go south? These things are more common than you think. Unlimited expiring photos could help eliminate that problem. No way for someone to embarrass you and try and ruin your home life. I've been victim to stolen pictures and extortion, please fix this problem.

Invasive and very beneficial to remove this end of the digital footprint.

Moderation of profile photos is done mostly by AI @seekeroftruthsdestroyeroflies some are physically monitored by human eyes but most pass through an AI then I suppose grinder leaves it to the user to double b verify by reporting. Essentially we are all moderators by proxy.

Gross invasion of privacy. Apple won't allow it. They have another system in place. Its effective too.

Agreed, its bad business, GRINDR! I have flagged people for blatantly using in trying to sell illegal drugs. And those profiles have never been removed. And then some people get banned there is no reason given. I mean how do we know that you don’t have gay people working on your staff that just don’t particularly care for someone’s profile and so they banned him? Bad business.

There is no protection of privacy, we don't know what you are doing WITH OUR personal data! I can understand for free but if someone pays you must protect his privacy not sell it!
Second problem is full of spam or phishing. Everything is out of control. IF YOU PAY GRINDR YOU MUST PROTECT OUR DATA, AND STOP ANY KIND OF SPAM OR SCAMS!!

Over 20 days now this feature has been disabled from my profile without notice or reason.
App is up to date and tickets opened don't solve anything, always a generic answer (if an answer is given at all...) and always changing the status of the ticket from "open" to "waiting for your reply" to mislead us into thinking they actually tried to do something to solve the issue, wanting us to close the ticket.

Limited expiring photos was fine as it was for xtra but cut it all out?? Almost no point in subscribing. not paying load of money for not getting screenshot by idiots.
