Grindr is becoming more and more annoying with fake profiles that use recycled pictures and peddle **** sites. I’m an Xtra Grindr user and this is ridiculous. 5-10 an hour. Is there no way to vet profiles for validity? I’m supposed to be getting a premium service, but at the current rate I don’t think I’ll be renewing. The added benefit of more blocks is wasted continually blocking bots who waste your time.

Oftentimes, it seems that things are going ok, you'll trade a few pictures, and then you'll be blocked. This is usually indicative of a fake profile/pic collector. The ability to report this kind of behavior would make those of us who aren't out feel more comfortable with sharing images in private messages.
Also the knowledge that reporting someone actually gets something done would be amazing. -

Figure out some way to block these idiots who send messages, show as offline, then claim they can’t see your message and ask you to text them. I’ve blocked over 100 of them in the last two weeks. I report them every time but nothing seems to be changing.

Your site is currently being populated by bots and I am constantly being sent messages that are fake. This is super annoying. Do something!

In the report list, add 'bot' as a choice.

Kind of. They count as traffic, so they make the app seem more active, which makes it easier for them to sell ad space.

Is Grindr making money on bots? They are not making the bots stop, so maybe stopping using Grindr is the best solution.

Every day, 2-3 times a day, get a tap from a fake account that ALWAYS ALWAYS makes mention of wanting a boyfriend or relationship. There are a few stats and the pictures ALWAYS look like they were stolen from somewhere. Why can't you guys stop this?

Why this isn’t the number one priority I’ll never know! Grindr is such a joke. Fake profiles everywhere and you block profiles and they reappear. I’m sure more people would pay for Grindr Xtra if there was a way to verify profiles. It’s really something Grindr needs to instigate if they want to be taken seriously anymore. I know so many guys who have stopped using it because they are over fake profiles.

Filter by drug user/type of drug/location in filter settings. I’m tired of having to ask each and every individual user whether they’re a seething incubus of meth-addled crazy.

These bots are definitely getting on everyone’s nerves. They send a bunch of annoying messages and have sooo many different accounts. It’s starting to ruin the whole Grindr experience.

Users should be able to report the use of, the request for or the advertising of use of “clouds, meth, T “
But I’ve reported this on many occasions and nothing happens. It’s rife within the app and it shouldn’t be permitted. If it continues I’ll be making a report to police and asking them to monitor it because Grindr isn’t. -

There has been a massive increase in the number of spam messages and fake profiles on Grindr. In the past week I have been getting at least 10 spam messages a day. They send a message saying something like ‘you still up. I’m *****’. The user is shown to be offline the second the message arrives. I simply report and delete. Fake profiles have increased too. I message someone and within seconds receive a reply with an image for a website. Some of these are easily identifiable from the elongated profile image. Also lots of men trying to get me to sign up for some web scheduling for their own security. I think Grindr needs to implement stronger I’d verification protocols for its users’ security. IG vérification to non-private IG pages, FB or other ways to verify that the user is who they say they are. For those concerned about people seeing their IG, FB or other social media then Grindr should implement a private ID verification that Grindr staff verify which allows the users profile to indicate that they are a verified user. This will help reduce the number of scammers and other con artists from creating fake profiles and preying on The Grindr community.

well with employers now requiring people to sign a form stating they will not post negative messages on social media or get in trouble people like me have deactivated facebook, and have no desire to start a new one. my friends have my number they know how to text or call. i hate the ads and privacy invasions on fb and the like so no, not a good way. having a code date and color prompt to take a face picture for grindr to keep on file as a reference and someone compares the pics they send/post to verify the sender isn't Jeffery Dahmer or something. at the same time if the are acting criminal then grindr can show authorities their history as a show of support to the rest of us
