I like the idea of earning a little “verified” badge on my profile and also being able to filter to only see guys that have verified.
Photo verified badge = follow instructions and make hand gesture, take live picture, wait while staff verifies, staff add “verified” badge to profile, verification photo is deleted permanently (to avoid any negative repercussions of a future potential data breach, and to put the discreet guys minds at ease).

Allow Live Photo support which will allow users to upload moving photos of themselves, allowing users to add their own signature touch to their profiles. Live Photo’s are generally captured between 1.5 seconds before and after the initial exposure. This is what gives the photos their Harry Potter like Enchated photo effect.

Absolutely! If Grindr cared about marginalized people at all the blocking feature should be re-worked. People will abuse you verbally and then block you and they are completely protected by Grindr rather than the other way around.

I get a **** ton of spam from either sugar daddies, ads, or men I'm not into. There's this sugar baby scheme and or scam and these accounts that I block just end up messaging me on new accounts after they're banned. I think it would be cool if people can request to chat instead of sending messages because my messages fill up with a bunch of unwanted messages, and it's a hassle to block all the spam.

Grindr needs to implement a Verification system for all users. Why? Cuz I’m sick of these bots asking me to verify myself by giving CC info. It’s not hard to implement a verification system. Y’all would be a taking a huge step forward over Scruff if you could verify your members. And be able to verify the awesome **** stars that have profiles on here. I understand most of the BOT/Catfishers use **** star's pictures but if each star who had a profile was also verified, it would be a HUGE nail in the coffin for BOT/Catfishing profiles. (They all need a new hobby anyway!) Just sayin!!

Put an end to spam bots. I’ve been a member of Scruff for over five years and I’ve never gotten a single spam message on that app. I get several a day, every day, on Grindr. If Scruff can keep the spam bots out, Grindr can too!

Love the idea. There are a lot of Bot accounts, and it gets annoying get hit with spam, especially when you pay for Grindr Xtra.

I love Grindr. I’ve met some of my best friends off this app. But the amount of scammers, drugs, and illegal activity that goes on here is getting worse by the day. I would volunteer in my free time to do what I can to make this app fun just so that I didn’t have to see the **** that I do on a daily basis. I know there would be a lot of room for abuse but the consequence for that could be losing your moderator status or suspension of your profile. Even if the only thing that a volunteer could do is elevate the status of a report to the Grindr employees, it would at least make more serious offenses be taken care of in a more timely manner.

I have actually been considering calling child services about a boy in my area. A couple years ago. He admitted to being 13. He creates a new profile every few months ever since. Just request a picture of them holding a photo ID to prove age. That's the only verification we need.

Yet again I have a rejected photo. The one of me, on the beach, in board shorts, no 'lump' or anything provocative. WTF?

*** is almost optional and none should feel obligated to meet up even if they confirm up to the moment you meet and even if the come into your place, no one has to be forced to do anything. Yes flaking sucks but that's why I have them show location, they have apps to do that.

Some suggestions go to far. This is one. Like other apps, do a email verfication code and have to enter the code to be verified. Many sites use this method, they halve very few bots. Another thing could be done is simple picture verfication system. What I mean is many sites, have a pop up, you have to pick all the pictures that have fire hydrants, or pictures with mountains, or stoplights, cross walks. My suggestions would be way less intrusive on people that are trying to be discreet and yet belong. Also, one should not forget what happened on Ashley Madison site, they were hacked and they took all the folks personal information. My suggestion would verify and yet protect users.
