Not an idea - a question. How can these bots or spammers tap or message you and show as 7 km away then an hour later show as 5549 km away. Are they working in league with Grindr or sanctioned by the app? Most of them are so obvious, looking for LTR or giving you undying love, thank fk I am so cynical, who would fall for that?

Actually @christopherB the “offline” profiles could now also be people who pay for the new Unlimited subscription. Part of that package is the ability to appear on Grindr “incognito” or as you say, Offline. Scruff has the same thing.

If you could display how many days the user has been a member, and if the user is a paid member, we can quickly identify what profiles might be fake. I have had the same profile for a few years, so that should tell people something about me. Sure, some people might create an account when they travel, but then that's for the other user to decide how to deal with someone who says they are traveling. I know local guys who create accounts, then delete them after a few weeks and create new accounts (and both turned out to be flakes who no-showed). Also, I get messages from people who are OFFLINE! Thats a sure sign that its a scammer. And I know who is a scammer sometimes from the message (starts with some lame joke) so people who have been members should be given some priority when they flag a spam account and maybe that account is suspended immediately (and if it's not a spam account then the reporting user should be 'downgraded' in their spam reporting 'value' if that makes sense.) Like if I flag 20 accounts for spam and they are all really spam accounts, then my future reports should be prioritized. So the spammers get kicked faster. I flag spammers, I don't just flag anyone I don't like.

This would make sense. Since Grindr has not figured out a way to block escorts, how about granting a free membership once you have reported 100 escorts? This will encourage more self policing.

There should also be a filter for transsexuals. I have nothing against trans, they're just not my flavor.

I have paid for this app for way to long, I get more Bots contacting me than real people.. I think its time to stop paying for this app.. Also i report pictures all the time that do not meet the requirements and nothing happens.. If pictures are being moderated for content then how are they being approved?

Why you don’t ban definitely those users that use the App for selling/buying drugs or for prostitution. You don’t verify the email address to register, you can make up an email to register with no verification. It is resale annoying to see more and more prostitutes and drug dealers in the App, no matter how many times I report them they still appear.

Best idea and still not "under review". They clearly don't care, and it'd hurt all the bots they allow to make the grid seem populated. I hope people wake up and stop paying for this so they go under.

Lets clean grndr up a little. Moderation has denied my photo access of only my legs and feet because it is too explicit?? Well my suggestion is to clean up the site. The following needs to be moderated that contains ANYTHING WHATSOEVER with the words. Also they have to be a paying member to view anything other than your profile photo. It would be awesome for the member to be able to either accept or deny chat request instead of these disrespectful people just getting to send a picture of their privates

I've been getting bots saying how attractive you are then giving their phone number because their wifi isn't working right. Then they text you endless *** talk while giving you a website to go to. The number just goes to a busy signal. They tap you first and if you respond they initially are excited that someone uses taps. They're active bots seeking you out as opposed to just waiting for you to try to contact their profile. It's disgusting that people are preying on us like this.

Search filter OUT women, trans, and drug seekers. (or IN).

I am in Chile and it is crazy how many people are just using the app looking for weed. Straight men and women. Then there are all the escorts...and women!!!

Please please please. Allow us to sort so we DON'T have to see their profiles. And honestly, guys who care about some annonymity might want to not be seen by them. Let guys choose who can see them! I am totally out and don't care, but Grindr doesn't need more guys afraid of posting their pictures and having nothing.

Improve the search features. Allow us to search by GENDER. Allow people to search for Pot, so I can filter it out.
