Your app is riddled with bots, scam artists and crime. I would say 99% of taps are nothing but algorithms via bots and scam artists wasting user’s time. Why do your competitors (Scruff, jack’d, tinder) not have this issue? It’s probably because the base coding is extremely sloppy and filled with holes not properly managed by a properly funded dev team. Grindr is clearly “too big to care” And the parent company doesn’t care enough to make real change. I have never had a bot on scruff. Be very careful when using this app. It’s poorly managed and has a million traps designed to exploit users and the sloppiest base code ever constructed.

PLEASE get rid of Taps. 95% of that taps I get are from FAKE profiles using the same pics over and over again. No matter how many times I delete them, they come back with another profile! To say the least, Taps are nothing more than an IRRITANT!

Taps are annoying & usally just bots

I have always found it fascinating that people get so wound up about taps in a way that they don’t about woofs on Scruff. I’m personally not a tapper, but people’s strength of opinion and this discrepancy with attitudes on others apps as led me to wonder whether it’s the nature of the word. To tap is an annoying thing. It’s a niggly, relentless poke and prod and not in a good way. If you take woof, that already has connotations for many. If you were to look at someone you find attractive in person and say “woof!” in the right way, you can convey quite a lot! Would you go over and jab them with your finger though. Or a little pocket hammer!!?

For starters , just go into settings and at least turn off push notifications for taps

Why did you take away the ETHNICITY option. I only want to see one race. Why did u take that away. I want a full refund. Take away taps that’s annoying. Your are causing me to have stress

For example, a checkbox saying: Yes I want to receive Taps or something similar

Yes please! Taps seem to only come from bots and scam profiles now anyway, it's not even a good feature for actual people on the app either. Whenever I get a tap that is from a legit person, I'll make an attempt at talking and they give one worded replies which quickly kills the mood to make an effort to talk to them, it's a useless feature, if you have a problem with messaging a simply "Hello" cause you find it awkward, then get the **** off the app.

Get rid of taps nothing but a pain **********, at least give the option to turn it off. I don't care who sees me either why do I have to have that notice up there please pay for me so that you can see the last time the people that look at you forget it. They don't have the balls to say something let him look away. And what is with all these fake profiles I'm starting to think that grinder is making them looking for relationships they don't even know where you are when they contact you they're sending out these blanket mailings group mailings I'd like to be taken off that list. And can you get a grinder site for all the trannies and the men with ***** I'm not here looking for a woman substitute I'm here looking for a man and when they come into to me it's hard to be polite give them their own website geez

I totally support this idea - especially since so many of the taps I get are from fake profiles trying to get my phone number. This would be a great way to limit spam.

Yes please make it optional. I’m so tired of reading the cry baby comments about no taps. Make sure they cannot receive a tap if they don’t want to. Stop the crying now.

In my entire experience on this app, the only "people" who use taps are spam bots (also scam sugar daddies). Removing this feature would decrease the number of bots that try to contact users and the number of people who get scammed by fake sugar daddies.
