I think this is a no-brainer, and an easy, simple fix that Grindr can do to make those who need this status to recognize themselves and their position in their lives, without affecting others who utilize the app negatively any way whatsoever. Other gay social media platforms utilize this already, and Grindr is behind in acknowledging those who are looking for people who can understand the possible complexities of bring in a relationship with, dating, or even possibly being simply in a sexual relationship with a widower. We, as widowers want to be up front about this in our profiles to avoid those who do not have the interest or patience in developing what may be a simple relationship, but could also be a unique opportunity for a different interaction based upon loss we have carried from a precious death we may or may not have gotten over.

Some of us however, may not have a concern and simply want to just acknowledge they are just a widower and that is okay too. It helps acknowledge the previous relationship and makes it important to him.

I hope I have given the Grindr team some things to think about with regards to a good reason to add this as a relationship status on the app. Thank you.

I totally agree with this suggestion. I was searching through the suggestion list before I was going to make this same suggestion.
