Some are asking picture, if we send they take screenshot and sharing as their pictures.. This is users personal, so disable screenshot

Keep having a guy pretending to be someone else. He starts chatting the screen shots my conversation then threatens me with telling people. I’m not out and this shouldn’t happen. I should feel safe on here and don’t. I block him but he makes new different accounts.

Thank you Grindr Team for putting this under Review. I recently heard (not sure if true) about a way for websites or apps to block screenshots by way of a features that darkens the image or page so it ruins the image on the camera taking the shot rendering image useless.
If true... Something to look into for Grindr. For Free members and paid's pic and info security.

If a photo is screenshot and used by impostor Grindr should delete it and never allow to be in use again

Please can we bring back restrictions on screenshotting certain photos? Some people are very discreet and some people like exploiting them and black mailing them with their PRIVATE message they sent on grindr, if grindr can't protect their people who will?

When i am interested to someone, I always screenshot the pictures amd i am searching them to google image's search engine. If that will mo longer be available or there's a notification, the whole Idea will be useless. So, of course i take the shot, bit fir ither reasons. If i want to use fake photos, it's too easy. You can take them from insta, tweet etc.

Well Im going to tell you right now, I sure as hell will screenshot your ass.. I need more than a 5sec picture of you that will expire.. If its a hookup, which more than likely it is.. That picture is for protection, especially if Im giving you my address... I need for you to be found, just incase your a fucking psycho..

Honestly this would be really handy—but I think you should step it up a notch and make it so that screenshots aren’t even possible. Many encrypted messaging apps and banking apps employ the technology so I know it’s a thing.
I’ve had my photos not only used to make fake profiles that obviously aren’t me, I’ve seen photos of myself on Twitter that I know for a fact I have only sent out on Grindr, and I’ve met up with guys who have HUNDREDS of screenshots of different guys they have messaged.
At the end of the day there needs to be some sort of protection against it and even a notification of a screenshot is a move in the right direction.

Prevention of screenshot!
Being Discreet is a major thing, taking screenshots and using it as public display or portraying as someone else needs to be prevented!
Threats about identity revealing is suicidal!
NEED SOME ACTION TO BE TAKEN , ATLEAST LETTING KNOW THAT SOMEONE HAS TAKEN SCREENSHOT,IF NOT NOT ALLOWING HIM TO TAKE SS THEN -

I agree with him. It could be used for blackmail. and remember most of us lives in extremely homophobic countries.

Prevent users from making screenshots, because in this app there are photo thieves.

What if I take a photo of your profile with a different phone? Then what stupid?

This is ridiculous. If you don’t wanna be out then don’t freaking send any pics.. duhh also there is no way to do this, the app and a screenshot are not related in any way. There is no way to know if somebody takes a screenshot. What if I take a screenshot when browsing of multiple profiles that appear. Everybody should get a notification? What if the screenshot is partial? This is a stupid idea imo.

I think that's a good idea!

Just make it forbidden to screenshot in the app at all. 1st time = warning, 2nd time = ban.
More than enough with the pic collectors.

Anyone that seems opposed to the idea of stopping or showing who screenshot your photos must be a photo collector themselves. The idea is good because it will hopefully deter a large volume of fake catfish profiles from guys who want to spend their time screenshotting other peoples photos to pretend to be them. I value my own identify and although I’m happy to show my profile picture, it doesn’t give anyone the right to screen shot that and use it as their own pretending to be me but saying anything and sending all other types of pictures that aren’t of me (no ones gonna know if it’s really my a55 or d*ck is it but they’ll recognize a face)
