Request reason or be messaged a reason for profile picture being denied
If your profile picture is denied you should be able to ask what the reason was or someone should message you and tell you why. I tried to post a photo laying down with no nudity just shirtless but was told it was against guidelines...was it because I don't have 6 pack abs? I know a lot of the guys on the app discriminate against none fit guys but I guess the people running the app discriminate against them too

Block messages containing certain words/content
Recently I‘ve been getting more and more spam messages telling me to visit certain websites. I‘d like to be able to automatically block messages containing certain words or content. If I was able to block „.com“, none of these messages would get delivered.

So many bots lately!
I live in a small city (250k) - the amount of bots (all with the same downtown/obviously VPN set location) is absolutely wild. Every single one of them is (of certain not-gay-man identity) promoting their OnlyFans through twitter/x or Snapchat/telegram. I’ve been an unlimited subscriber for 3 years or so - Grindr DO BETTER!

Add an option to report AI generated images as spam and/or impersonation
The app seems to be flooded with profiles that are using AI generate images, which are often spam accounts. We need a way to report these accounts specifically and block them, rather than hide them.

Add a Verified Trust Badge to Reduce Fake and Spam Accounts
I suggest adding a verified trust badge system on Grindr to make Among Us app safer and more transparent.
Many users are frustrated by fake profiles, catfishing, and spam. A simple verification feature — like an optional photo or ID check — could help build real connections while protecting genuine users.
This badge could appear on verified profiles and increase confidence during chats or meetups. Privacy should stay a priority, but trust and safety are essential for our community.

Improve User Safety: Reintroduce Full Block and Enhanced Privacy Settings
Hi Grindr Team,
I appreciate your recent updates, but I think it’s time to focus more on user safety. While “Hide” is a nice feature, it doesn’t replace the That's Not My Neighbor essential protection that a true block system provides.Could you consider bringing back a comprehensive block feature — one that permanently prevents contact and visibility from blocked users, even across new accounts?
Also, adding custom privacy options (like selective profile visibility and region-based filtering) could make the app feel safer and more user-friendly.

Suggestion: Customize Online Status
Hello Grindr,
I suggest the “Customize Online Status” feature so that users can:
Choose to show Online, Hide Online, or Only to Friends.
Still use the app normally when in hidden mode, helping to protect privacy.
Benefits:
Better control over activity display.
Reduce annoyance when not wanting to interact.

Auto Logout Timer
Hello Grindr,
I would like to propose the “Auto Logout Timer” feature to protect privacy:
Users can set the time to automatically log out after inactivity (e.g., 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour).
When the time is up, the app will automatically log out, ensuring that no one can access the account if the device is forgotten or borrowed.
Option to warn before logging out to avoid interrupting the experience.
Benefits:
Protects user privacy and safety.
Reduces the risk of exposing personal information, messages, or sensitive images.
Helps Grindr become a safer platform for the LGBTQ+ community.

Suggestion: Add a “Temporary Location Hide” feature for users when traveling

I would like to suggest adding a “Temporary Location Hide” feature to help users have better control over their privacy when traveling or in unfamiliar places.
Specifically, when enabled, the user’s location will be displayed in the city they choose (e.g., “New York” or “Bangkok”) instead of the exact GPS location. This helps ensure safety and avoid being tracked or revealing a real location in areas that are not safe for the LGBTQ+ community.

Easier to report bots
Please make it easier to report bots, rather than multiple click-through pages to hide a bot from my grid. And better yet, actually investigate reported bots and take down profiles that use the same profile picture.

Remove profile promoting OnlyFans
Recently I have experienced a large influx of profiles and messages that are promoting Onlyfans accounts. This is making it harder to use the app for its intended purpose, finding “meaningful connections” 😆
I also think that OF people are exploiting Grindr users, sometimes promising them S E X in exchange for subscribing, which is obviously not true. Sometimes they even put this on their profile.

Only fully completed profiles should be allow to chat with other completed profiles
Only allow completed users profiles (basic demographic data and a real picture, we can identify fakes with AI in no time so there's no excuse for profiles pictures getting approved with landscapes) profiles that are not completed can not communicate with profiles that have the data on their profile. Its very annoying to being increpated with a blank profile asking several questions about myself when I don't even know what kind of potential creep is looking at my profile.
