Please don't dismiss this concern as anti-woke or some other misguided notion. The potential for creating and sharing virtual spaces is limitless. Grindr originated as a space for men seeking other men who have sex with men. If you want to create a space for women looking to connect with trans men/women - or bafflingly, gay men - or for straight men interested in trans women, that's perfectly fine. Create those spaces/apps for them.
As the user base expands, it's baffling to see profiles from "straight" men stating "NO DUDES" on Grindr, an app globally recognized as a space for gay men seeking connections. It would be more beneficial to direct those users to their own spaces, which would enhance their experience as well. Alternatively, better filtering options should be provided. I want to filter out individuals I’m not interested in meeting. I’m a gay man and I want to connect with other gay men. I have no animosity towards anyone else, but I should be able to set my filters to only see profiles of folks that I might conceivably be interested in meeting.

And don't tell me it's offensive and discriminatory to allow users to filter based on race. This isn't a fucking job seeker's site. You allow users to "discriminate" based on age, height, weight...a whole host of immutable characteristics. But not race...because, woke? I guess?
This is a site purpose-built for gay dudes to find people they want to meet up with, and usually to have sex - not play Pictionary - and people are allowed to decide whom they want to have sex with (still, so far), so it's idiotic and misguided to prevent them from setting the filters that help them find what they're looking for.
Like I said...if anyone can make me *disappear* because they don't want to fuck anyone over 50 - OR - if they can highlight me because they *only* want to fuck someone over 50, then users should be able to decide they only want to have sex with an Asian guy or don't want to have sex with a White guy.
Stop being children about this. It completely goes against the ethos of sexual liberation.
