I also request this feature to help with the mental health of your users.. i am sure you are aware how these dating apps can be detrimental to the mental health of us gay men seeking friendships, and approval. On the frequent occasions that our advances are rebuffed or worse yet ignored completely I would wish to have a HIDE FILTER option to no longer see this person that I really like… To keep hope alive that maybe one day they might reconsider, I want them to still see me while I no longer see them… unless I decide to… The act of BLOCKING a person is extreme, is a negative experience and I prefer to only use a block when someone is being intentionally mean, or is a criminal, or refuses to accept my polite decline…. in only this case does a block make sense to me. For my mental health, I do not want to see all the men i am attracted to on the page in front of me like a who’s who of rejection… but like I said, I want them to still see me to reconsider…I want to keep HOPE alive!! Blocks take away my hope. I am sure you have an army of psychologists that know this. Please consider adding a simple filter button “this guy is not interested - remove him from my view”. in this way I can move on without becoming hopeless and can focus on the men who might make me happy. This small change would go a long way towards helping improve the mental well being of Grindr users. I hope that our well being is of the highest priority for the creators of Grinder. I really would appreciate your help with this. Other apps already offer this common sense feature. Thanks 😃
