I just had an ad blast a version of a Macklemore song that sounded like it was recorded on a 2006 cell phone from a radio station in a car with the windows down...and it forced the podcast I was listening to to stop. Unacceptable. I wonder if the artists know these songs are being used on ads...I’m willing to bet their legal teams would have something to say about it.
