Regarding authenticity, I would see connecting with decent men as an investment heading towards matchmaking if Grindr facilitated civil conduct. For perspective, good matchmaking services quote £12000 (twelve thousand) to meet 3 potential matches.
With that perspective, there is space for higher pricing but quality of product (and how it facilitates, encourages and enables people to behave will always undermine quality.
I have proposed a solution in my ideas here.
It is objective quality standards that determines price point and it's telling that Grindr LLC chooses to disregard that.
