This is still happening as of 09-17-25. I've had many updates since I first posted this issue back in April of 2025. With each update I anticipated a fix for this annoying issue. They fixed it one time but successive updates broke it. Other sites like this one have no problem with their refresh. If they can't fix this issue then they should at least let us click a button to manually update instead of their annoying auto-update. That's been suggested in the past and hasn't happened so I'm not hopeful that it ever will.

I don't think there are enough transgenders using this app to justify creating a whole new app just for them. Grindr should come up with a filtering system that would allow us to filter by the gender that you selected when creating your profile. Currently, by default, there are seven listed in the "gender" section of your profile and those should be the ONLY options in the filtering section. The filter could be labeled as "HIDE" and then you select the gender(s) that you want to "hide" from your grid. That way the straight dude could select those identities he wants to hide from his grid and we would be able to eliminate from our browsing grid those identities that we are not interested in (i.e. trans man, cis man, etc.) The "HIDE" filter would remain "checked" until you manually clear it. In this day and age this shouldn't be that difficult to achieve.
