An error occurred while saving the comment Well Grindr is changing and that’s not a bad thing I think. Starting to be not just a gay dating app, but a queer one is a healthy change. Being more inclusive, less racist, sexist, transphobic is good change and I really like that Grindr is slowly changing… would be great if the gay community would as well. There is always an option to change towards another app ♥️ that’s more into cishet gay bubbles ☺️♥️
An error occurred while saving the comment Sound like another idea to make chasers and the fetishization of trans* bodys easier. Trans* don’t need their own platform, so that they get invalidated as not cis enough again, they need validation as part of Grindr and as normal people.
As a trans* person I definitely disagree on this idea. What would work, would be, that the search engine could search for the gender // pronouns as well and not just for the „trans“ tribe (so chasers can filter and misogynistic gay guys as well). The option to choose ones body parts and filter towards that would be helpful as well both groups. Here it would be important to do some community work and teach ppl via a pop up window that typical chaser lingo towards trans* ppl is rude and inappropriate ♥️
Btw. being fetishized for a body that otherwise is used to invalidate ones gender is not cool. Grindr has a huge problem with both…as the whole gay community. It would be great if this would be considered here ☺️♥️
