Until I found you all. Thank god there are others. I’m a white guy who prefers to date men with different skin colours to my own. Other than white, I really don’t mind, it’s just my personal preference and choice and it has been tested For accuracy time and time again. When I complained to Grindr, I got the stock reply, “black lives matter / read our tweet” etc. Of course black lives matter. But why have you stopped me from dating them (and all other ethnicities) if that’s my choice. The long contributor above or below me in this chat summed up his viewpoint perfectly. Who asked for this? I’m not screening white guys out because I’m racist. I’m
Screening them out because I don’t often date them. I too have Cancelled my unlimited membership and hardly use Grindr anymore. I definitely regret buying a year‘S membership. -

About 90% of the mutual likes I get are from guys who have self selected me out of their preferred age range. So they’ve seen me, liked me on that basis regardless of age, and can write to me. But I can’t write to them. Your suggestion would work in one sense because I’d not see these guys in the first place. But there are lots of missed opportunities with this filter. I’ve suggested a swipe overrides pre selected filters as they clearly can’t filter out those users. Another story.
This isn’t about racism, it’s about ones personal preferences. I’m white. I date black Latin and Asian guys. This is a step too far. Please bring it back.
