    You’re absolutely right — the bot issue has become one of the biggest frustrations on the app. When most nearby profiles are duplicates with the same photos and details, it kills the user experience and makes it harder to trust legitimate connections.

    A proper verification system (photo verification, selfie check, or even optional ID verification) would filter out fake accounts before they appear. Combined with a smarter scanning algorithm to detect repeated images, copy-paste bios, and unrealistic activity patterns, it would drastically improve the quality of the platform.

    Other apps have implemented similar systems successfully, so there's no reason Grindr couldn’t roll out something just as effective.
