    Does anyone actually read complaints & ban appeals? Or Is Grindr run by just “Yari” the computer. Repeating the same computerised answer to each message you send & saying issue solved every time. It’s bloody disgusting customer service for such a big gay chat app. If there is a real person in Grindr reading this get in contact & reply to my messages. As you have illegally put a ban on my phone/lMEl and I have taken this further & I’m not going away. I have complained to Apple, authorities consumer market & sought legal advice. I have also informed many LGBT sites, magazines, anyone I can. All have taken this very seriously as it’s illegal & many have had a lot of reports of other Grindr users experiencing bans for no reason & no real customer service. Disgraceful!!!

    Thanks for the advice guys in messages below.
    I will be putting in a complaint to authorities consumer marking today. I’ve also put in a complaint with Apple, who have stated Grindr has no authority to put a block on my phone IMEI. They are taking the complaint very seriously.
    Grindr is still ignoring my messages. just closing the message & stating the request is solved. The customer service is appalling & I will also be sending emails to all LGBT magazines & news websites. As I’m sure there must be so many people who have suffered this from Grindr & people using or considering using need to be aware.
    I suggest you lift the block on my phone Grindr & Stop ignoring me & get in contact with me.

    I don’t understand why it takes so long for customer service to get back to you. I’ve sent messages on my ban appeal nearly everyday for 13 days now & still no one has got back to me. I’ve been banned & no reason given & to ban my phone as well. It’s totally wrong. Everyone should be told the actual reason & given a chance to explain or argue the decision. If someone from Grindr actually reads these comments. Can you please explain your reasons why for the above issues! Also read my messages in my appeal for my ban!!

    I have been banned. No reason given & I feel I’ve followed all Grindr guidelines. Been waiting a week now for a response to my appeal to have ban lifted. I’ve given all details requested on the appeal form. I’ve messaged 5 times now & got nothing back. My first message says solved, with no email sent to me stating reasons. Even put a block on my phone so I can’t open another account. Very poor customer service. A lot of people currently use Grindr, like myself, to communicate with others safely during the current covid situation. Just banning people for no reason, or giving a valid reason to people, could have even more of an effect on their mental health if they are struggling Feeling alone.
