New privacy configuration option
I desire a new privacy configuration option “Don’t allow people not showing distance contact me”. I need this because I suffering cyber bullying at this app.

community help and standards issue.
I get you want to protect the community but protecting them when they’re wrong and not informed is inhumane and inconsiderate of you. you’re causing more harm then good you basically keep making them stupid and behave in inhumane ways and justify that behavior when you’re not helping the community you’re training them to be killers. This is a hook up app not to instill misinformation and make them into something they’re not. Quit manipulating them immediately.

Allow us to preemptively block accounts linked with certain phone numbers
Naturally with an app like Grindr we all want some form of privacy. I think it would be a massive quality of life change if we were able to block phone numbers, similar to how one can on Tinder
many of us don’t want to bump into family members, friends, coworkers, etc as it can be either very awkward or in worst cases it can even out someone

Dispute
I think that if somebody reports your profile that you should get the option to also dispute it. That way you can actually tell if it's actually breaking the rules or not because I've been deleted twice now over somebody just getting their feelings hurt because I wouldn't message him back so they reported me and then I just lost all of my contacts for nothing

Selfie verification
Too many catfishes on this app. Literally every other modern dating app has selfie verification. It’s about time Grindr does the same. I would move over to Archer for their verification feature, but they don’t have enough users in my city yet.

Identification associated to each profile is urgent
Every user should be identified by government identity system or id in order to prevent fake omophobic profiles

Zero Knowledge Encryption?
It appears that Grindr is transitioning to server side cloud storage of message content however there hasn't been any clarification in the privacy policy of how this data will be protected. Given the highly intimate nature of Grindr interactions and the historical marginalization and criminalization of the homosexual community, it’s existential to the Grindr business model that identity and message content can only be accessed by the 2 intended parties. Otherwise lack of trust and confidence will eventually cause cancellations. This seemingly was not an issue earlier, when messages were end-to-end encrypted and stored on device.

Predatory older men and young gays - Cost
Making verification so expensive put trans people and young gays at risk. I am 32 years old but I turn my age off so late at night the older gays will prey on me. Right now I’m in the lobby of his apartment and before he told me his address he demanded $40 so he could get drugs. I am wearing my clerical collar so when he and his “roommate” saw me they decided to shake me down for cash. When I wouldn’t give him money he basically said he didn’t want sex anymore. Fake picture removal
I have seen many of the profiles are sharing/misusing someone else pictures. Have faced many complications due to that. To avoid that, why don't use the face recognization option to upload pictures. We have enabled Camera option already. For time being, let's block the option of uploading pictures. I am sure no one is uploading anything useful to anyone in our community. Instead, the only option to share their picture is to take their face picture using camera which will be uploaded in app to be shared. Yet High chances are there that people take picture of an other photograph…

provide feedback on accounts reported; end the harassment
I've reported several profiles - the same person is harassing me. I never hear back what action has been taken. I know it's the same person because they are always the same distance away, are someone I've never seen before and they have really hot pics. When I reverse image search their pics they are always stolen from another account. YOU NEED TO VERIFY ACCOUNTS or at minimum show how long the person has had an account. I'm getting tired of using this site and be stalked/harassed/ by homophobic sociopaths. Why does Grinder make it to easy to be harassed?

Meu maior problema é as pessoas acharem que eu sou de menor sendo que eu sou de maior e o app não recorrer a isso e verificar e acabo banido
Então a ideia deveria ser o seguinte toda pessoa que fosse criar uma conta no grindr para não correr o risco de entrar um de menor ou então entrar uma pessoa com aparência mais nova que só por conta disso as pessoas acham que por conta da aparência a gente é de menor e acaba denunciando a gente o app acaba banido né sem nem dar nem uma justificativa ou verificar se isso é verdade mesmo seria uma boa que toda vez que a pessoa fosse criar pedisse a identidade né porque daí o app saberia que a pessoa não…
