Minimal reach out to others through profile views and messaging them.
It is very unfortunate not to be able to send a message to someone I am very interested in. I request and suggest that there are not so many restrictions on access and communication to other profiles, for those who use the application without joining plans.

Control Ads in a reasonable way
I am getting a fucking ad for the same fucking games after every chat or profile view.
This would be like an ad after every scene in a tv show.We get it, ads are a necessary evil but be somewhat responsible with the ad saturation.
If it wasn’t for needs, I would get rid of the app to be honest.

Grindr Requests
Can someone please make incognito mode unsend messages chat translate typing status saved phrases unlimited profiles etc. free even if there's a bunch of ads because some of those are really important but they can't afford to pay.

Map
On my IPhone, the map doesn’t allow to open google maps o another map app to use it. I suggest the map in the app open google maps to go to the place in case the user have to do it. Or let an option to chose the map you want to use in the app

Cheaper Recurring Membership tier when accessing Grindr Web (avoid app store comission)
Since apple takes a big cut of purchases made through the app store subscription model, why not pass on the savings by having subscription as an option for grindr web? Free users will who log in on webview will get a splash page that its for xtra and unli users only with a subscribe now button while xtra and unli users can manage their subscription preferences on the settings tab of the webapp.

Where users , whether free or paying, who live along an international border can exclude from the "Browse" display guys from the other country. Eliminates inaccessible guys when the border can't be crossed by people who either don't have a passport, or are frustratingly barred from entry due to youthful indiscretions. Sexual safety
There should be a feature to allow you to anonymously tell someone to go for STI testing to allow people who have recently tested positive for something to alert others they hooked up with that they need to get treated as well.
If the feature is abused to harass others, this can be detected by identifying individuals who send these alerts with abnormal frequency to people they haven't had a reciprocal conversation with in the past or whose initial conversation was too recent and they couldn't possibly have had enough time to hook up with them and get tested. When the app is closed and click on a new message, it goes to the chat but content not shown
Once I close the app, if there is new message, then it shows a notification as expected. But when I click on that notification, I go to the related chat but the chat history is not visible. I have to go back to the messages and open that chat again. I tried restoring the app but still the same

Profiles, ads, and pricing..
So this is a multilayered list of things that really grind my gears, no pun intended. The amount of ads after viewing one of the 25 profiles available to the non-paying folk is outrageous. Really? Because we are not subscribing to your overpriced plans we get to only freely message around 25-30 guys in our immediate area? And then, when we do click on one of those profiles, we are immediately directed to a candy crush ad or ad for prep that lasts for 3 minutes if we don’t close the app and reopen it. Simultaneous photo sending/unlocking
Trading photos is a pain. There's always a debate about who is going to send theirs first. There should be an option to send another user your photo but that photo only gets shown or unlocked to them if they have sent one of their own to you. Both photos unlock simultaneously.
I could see the notification saying, "this user has chosen a photo to send to you through the fair photo trade option. If you wish to make a fair trade choose a photo to send them in return and we will unlock both simultaneously"

Different color options
Give us options to change the color theme of the chats/app itself. Grindr's UI is nice and all, but I'd like it more if i could make it look the way I want.
