Distance measurement is always wrong
Distance is calculated in straight line, but it makes false results about who is really close to us.
The measurements should be done by real roads distance and not with current algorithm.2 votes -
Not fully testing updates before deploying to production
The latest update has been a disaster. This is not the first time issues like this have been encountered, so there is clearly a problem with sufficient sandbox testing before pushing to production.

Learn something from scruff or jack'd
I can't remember the last time I've been able to send or receive messages without 0 complications. Scruff doesn't charge as much and the free users get a lot more out of the app, plus it actually works as intended. With Grindr you get next to nothing as a free user and the app hardly works as intended to boot. Even as a paid user, the app fails in areas that should work seamlessly. Album order
Albums received should show in chronological order as they used too. Now it's completely random? Doesn't make any sense

Fix your app, like yesterday
Have half of your UX staff been laid off? There’s been a severe and rapid decline in usability of this app in the last 3 months. Revert to some old version of the app or rewrite it from the ground up completely, cause you can just tell every time a bug is ‘fixed’ it’s clearly been bloated with a workaround that makes the service slower and buggier each time. Seriously, I dread to think how paying users feel when the app is in the worst state I’ve ever seen it.

Please Fix the iPhone App, it’s buggier than ever!
Taps won’t show unless you force quit and reopen the app every time you get a new tap
When you send a message, the app thinks you have received a message.
Sending messages glitches the app
If you want to see a profile when in a chat, keyboard stays open.
Notifications work whenever they feel like workingPlease fix it. It makes using the app so tedious.

New unread message tab
Need to fix the messages make a unread tab or new messages tab because the new messages system doesn’t work properly at all it’s worse then before I have to stroll through a lot of messages just to find the message I need and that’s terrible

You’ve broken it and showing me other peoples chats
Whatever the hell you’ve done in releases this week has broken the app. It’s literally showing me no chats - they’ve all gone and occasionally randomly
Shows what looks like another users chats and pictures. Which then makes me think are others getting my chats which is a massive security issue.2 votes -

Rush hour responsivness?
How about investing into some server bandwidth, so an app that users pay for actually works, when ton of ppl log on? How bout that? Crazy right? Seriously. Wtf.

Open more results on free version
With the latest update I see maybe 3-6 people I can view. The matches are generally so poor that I’m not encouraged to pay to see more people. Seeing better matches is what would encourage me to move to the paid version to see more. This narrowing makes it way LESS likely- and more likely I’ll leave the app for something else altogether.

Improve performance and reduce cost
Messages sending but don't deliver for hours sometimes. The price of a subscription is unreasonable for an app that performs very poorly. Very popular app with the worst performance of any app on my phone and I have a lot of apps. Get a new developer team, the app has been unstable year in year out for literally years. Slow messages can literally ruin a connection with a guy, get it together Grindr it's just not good enough

Can't create account or login without Google Play Services installed
I don't have google play services installed by choice for privacy reasons, but the Grindr app doesn't let me set up an account or login. Google services should be a soft dependency, used when they're available, but not critical.
There's nothing Grindr does that requires google services, account sign up should be via Grindrs servers, location can be via android location permissions, and notifications can be via email or unified push

Fix app bugs
How about we stop putting out new features and focus on fixing the problems with the current features first. Also let’s try to prioritize responding to reports from users (both paid and free users) and not make them wait over a month for a response. One last suggestion is maybe it would be a good idea to test a feature to iron out the bugs before rolling it out to the masses.
