Fake ID through front camera
Fake people are always present, and the biggest problem of this app.
There’s the need of an AI system that verifies INTERNALLY the face of the person through the front camera for every photo added containing a face (this would be totally private and it would mantain privacy).
In this way if i ask for a facepic to anyone it will be shure it’s him. If the photo added didn’t contain a face this tool would not be used, but at least i would know it’s not a fake through him sending his face, that surely would correspond to his…3 votes -
Access to Grindr only by verified users with face pics
Make Grindr only accessible to those who have face photos and can verify their identification via drivers license or passport this will stop abuse of the app and deter bots and underage users which are prolific on this app

How much human trafficking does Grindr Contribute
How discriminating I find it that there are some of us a use of free account that at times don't even have money to support a meal but I see you profiting from our personal endeavors or personal conversations when we share a personal pictures and then you for a price profit from our personal decision making understanding the not everybody understands their constitutional rights a site knowing that they have rights which is basically worthless unless you're able to manipulate your rights you don't stand for you don't stand a chance and what is the problem with us on…

Enhance spam reporting and follow up
There are a number of users who go around tapping who are not legitimate users. They have sexy images, and instagram links. Their insta account is usually private but has a bio to promote a link. That link is always some different dating / hookup site.
Would like a way to report this and for Grindr to take action to remove them.

scrolling through vs. actually viewing a profile
I tend to scroll through the profiles in the full screen as they are larger and easier to see. However, it always appears that I stopped on a profile and viewed it. Please remove this. I’m tired of getting messages as “I see you keep checking out my profile. You don’t have to be shy. Feel free to contact me.”

Members who have used violence
After inviting a member over which used a fake pic when arrived then pulled out a can of pepper spray and used it and kicked my face and then asked for my keys after some standing up for myself I told him he could have the car key but not the house keys ok and finally I got him out of the door and then reported to the police also if this happens to you even tho it's hard on your emotional feelings but it's the only way to stop these thugs

Should not sort distances or show distance closer than 1km
I have to constantly delete the app so people can not figure out where I am or live I see so many people when I'm in a parking lot that drive around as if checking how close they are to other people and you can tell because you see there distance get closer and closer anyone within a 1 km range should not be able to tell if they are next door or 5 blocks away this allows for to many things to go wrong on a privacy/security side very unsafe and hate the app because of this one thing.…

Safety and privacy of gay men.
This isn’t to bash anyone or discriminate against any gender or gender identity, but this used to be an app where gays could come to meet, hookup, chat, etc. But now with trans and CD’s making profiles on a site that wasn’t created for them, they’re taking away from the grid space that gays would otherwise have to interact. Personalised location accuracy
I would like to give guys a general idea of my location without giving them it in precise detail. I live in a rural area most of the time and have had (sexually) violent threats on the app. Blocking and reporting isn't enough, as they are easy to evade. I would like a personalised option or perhaps just a default maximum accuracy to "within 100 meters", "within 1km", etc. 1 meter accuracy is creepy and unnecessary but I like giving guys an idea of how far I am.

Banning the use of the word GEAR and other drug related references
Banning the use of the word “Gear” or other drug related terminology within the Bio or Profile to prevent drug dealers or exposure to recovering substances abusers to sell or relaps. Allow for tags, sure, like scruff does. But this way it’s a little more discrete to the makes it less accessible.
