Dear Marina. ( Or anyone thinking the same )
When you go to a foreign country, you are expecting to respect the usages and rules of the population you are visiting.
If you don't like it, you have either the choice of dealing with it and accept it even if you think otherwise, or just don't go at all if you don't agree with the rules there.
What you are trying to do is imposing your own vision to the said country but you are just a visitor.
Grindr is a men dating app.
You are welcome because you are part of the LGBT community, but you are also expected to follow and RESPECT the usage of this app and his history.
Calling this point of view racist/segregationist/transphobic is just stupid and self centered.
There is a problem, and all those post about it are not here just to do some trans bashing.
We want to make things better for everyone.
You are literally shitting (in every post you are making) on people who are trying to make this work and evolve TOGETHER.
You are always calling people racist, transphobic or whatever, and never ever make a proposal to resolve this situation.
If you are not happy with trans app you should use your energy to make them get better. Not try to change what this app was made for. MEN DATING. not lesbian. Not non binary or trans.
If this app was made from scratch for trans and gay men, that would make sense, and tbh we would already have solutions to separate/choose the content and users we would like to see.
Anyway. There is a simple solution to this. Hard filters and an option for the user to block who you don't want to share your content with.
Let s say I don't want trans to see my profile, there should be a way to block this group of user. Kinda like other dating services with straight/gay public where you can choose to be viewed or not by both of the groups.
This is that simple, and should satisfy every groups of users.
I've never seen people calling some app with Gay/Straight population cohabiting separately called homophobic...and that s exactly what you are doing here.
So please, do us a favour. Stop acting like what you seems to be hating...a god damn 1960 fucktard reactionist.
You are the LGBT Karen. -

Said by ANOTHER disrespectful, self centered trans or “female” aka Marina.
Also known as a squatter who moved in but to another teams app!
How did those bushes and stall work play out for you?..since you’re on here you answered that.
Many gay men, that which this app was founded for, moved away from bathroom-bush play because we supported this app.
Go ahead….say something else Neanderthal. We’re entertained of course.

Boo hoo, we're men and we're being discriminated against. 😂 Go to a park and fiddle around in the bushes or tap your foot under the stall in the men's room. 😂

Grindr has grinded to a halt for me. Grindr is now GrindHer, go ahead, please just change your name already.
I have de-leted my account and the app. (Hyphen required, or the automated filter removes the comment.)

Apparently the feature to filter gender and other pronouns is available in other countries but not the US. If you’re gonna add pronouns, add the filters. I’m not paying for a service that floods my limited view with women. I hate blocking profiles but I guess that’s what you have to do these days.

Truly, I think this boils down to one thing. The lgbtqia banner is great for politics, and allowing everybody to gain equal rights. Like the equal right to a dating app that actually is my dating pool, and not my political pool. In other words, the lgbtqia banner does not belong in my bedroom.
Also, if you've ever bothered to visit the Grindr app on the Play store, you will find that it is labeled as "Gay dating and Chat" with no mention of lgbtqia anything.
I may be part of the lgbtqia banner, but I am not sexually attracted to anyone but anatomically correct masculine gay men. Again, that banner is strictly a political tool.

Let’s get something straight about this so-called 'discrimination' nonsense. I pay for Grindr to connect with other men—not women, not trans individuals, not anything else. If you can’t grasp the difference between personal preference and actual discrimination, you’re either willfully ignorant or just plain stupid.
Saying I don’t want to see certain profiles on an app I pay for isn’t discrimination; it’s demanding that the service I’m paying for delivers what I signed up for. The idea that I should be forced to see profiles that don’t match my interests is beyond asinine. If you can’t tell the difference between someone expressing a preference and actively trying to harm a group of people, then you’re the one with the problem.
If Grindr wants to be all-inclusive, fine, but don’t tell me that not wanting to see profiles that don’t interest me is somehow wrong. It’s my money, my choice, and I expect the service to respect that -

Women turn me off, and those searching for gay and bi men are toxic. -

Just as a side note to this, Squirt have many Bi guys, that's fine, but they put up videos showing sex with women. If they want to see MF porn there are many thousands of sites where they can go for that rather than turn gay guy's stomachs. I think this is what's at the bottom of all this anyway. Grindr is/was a unique space for gay MEN to meet and it's sold on that premise. Just a thought ;)

The blatant discrimination is abhorrent. And to the one claiming that connecting with nothing but gay males leads to getting flagged for breaking community guidelines... I really do wonder if that was your own experience from having or making incendiary comments about certain groups in our community that you either are well aware of or are woefully unaware of your discriminatory nature.

Hey Mate, I clearly remember seeing Grindr years ago and it said
"gay hookup and dating app in 2009" $2.99 pm premium.
Lets not forget it is a software company..
So changing bio from #X of words halved & changed to #X of letters to discribe yourself.Reduced basic features e.g. who viewed you and make it premium,
Grindr freezer when it detects a competitor app open simultaneously e.g. Scruff
No multitasking
I can go on.Grindr required millions more profiles before it could sell for its recent sale $608 Million.
Plus receiving fines for selling + Data and user information in ads costing them 11.7 million right before the sale.
The all inclusive is absolute lie as Grindr does not do anything to protect its male users. E.g. ability to filter out female and Trans for obvious reasons.
Gay men are violating community guidelines because they mention only, that is gay phobic.
However trans only in bio's etc are acceptable. My point is Grindr is here to make money like all great entrepreneurs.
Calab with someone and design your own perfect version ?
