The cost of Grindr
I think you should do a reduction in your prices as they are absolutely outrageous!! I've always been happy with the basic one as I dont need to know if someones read my message or not, But, if your prices were lower more people would consider it. Why not try and and be the same prices as fellow apps, or just slightly at a higher rate.

Offer a more graduated pricing structure. From free to $20 a month is a bit steep for me anyway.

you guys have massively reduced the fresh section down to only 9 people unless you pay for xtra… why do you guys want to charge for everything come on

In these tough economic times, it feels like everyone is getting the nickels squeezed out of the. Why not do something novel: create better price points for your clients. The current pricing will never deliver the way you want, but cutting full access in half would do wonders for your bottom line, and for ours too.

Grindr. The app that continuously finds ways to reduce functionality and then charges for it in ridiculous levels of premium membership. How about, offer a normal level of functions and stop taking advantage.

Spam is annoying and no spam company will want to pay anything because they know it'll eventually get deleted and it wouldn't be profitable.
Likewise, non-serious and fake accounts would also go away because of this.
Legitimate users won't mind paying $1 to use an app free of spam and filled with serious users.
And this would raise Grindr revenue for new developments and company expansion costs.

Some people can't afford Xtra let alone Unlimited so why not create 3-5 day "packs" that have a variety of benefits. One pack could have (for example) full access to "who viewed" and read receipts for messages for $6.99AUD. Another pack could include incognito and no ads for $8.99AUD and lasts two days. It gives people access to premium benefits at a more manageable cost

In a time of cost of living crisis you have increased your prices to Ludicrous amounts. At least mirror scruff. Instead these prices are far too high. They were high anyways before now they are just insulting. Grindr is full of escorts why should I pay all that money for this.

Since the recent update, Grindr is using a very cheap ploy to force users to get Grindr Xtra, by limiting fresh faces to only 9 profiles. This is one of the only known app for gay dating, and over the years Grindr has been moving the basic features of the app from the free version to the paid version. Now with only 9 profiles visible for the Fresh faces section the Grindr org has fallen down very low to force users to buy the pay version, as if the constant ads weren't enough source of income. This is outrageous! The most basic and important features already have been moved to the paid section and now they want to restrict profiles as well. Might as well make the whole app a paid thing!

Prices should be cut in half at least. They'd get more subscribers, and earn more long term. I would never spend this much money on an app with all these problems..(bots, fakes etc.)

The subscription costs are just insane. According to this website you had 723,000 paying members in December 2021. Lets assume they are paying between £100 and £200 each a year. My suggestion is that you don't just cut the prices you slash them dramatically and you could have 11 million active monthly members paying you £1 each, every month for Xtra and lets say £3 a month for unlimited. You will make more money in the long run as more people will be willing and able to justify such prices but at £210 a year for the unlimited subsription it is just not something most people would A) be able to afford and B) think its worth more than a fraction of that for the extra features when hardly a day passes without something on the app not working as it should and after 10 years the app should be stable & actually work . The cost for boosts is just a disgrace at £8.99 for an hour. I hope nobody pays for that as its just pure greed

Make beta tester available for more loyal and long term members as in if someone pays out the ass for extra or unlimited for more than two months beta should become available to get a option to become a beta tester

Really, for an app you’re overcharging anyway please make it crash proof. It’s ridiculous how many times the app crashes and freezes my phone and then I have to uninstall and reinstall. Really? This is the way you wanna do it? It sucks, big time. I rly like the app, but the crashing thing is a major flaw and YOU NEED TO GET THIS FIXED!!! You guy should be ashamed of charging these amounts of money for an app that’s just flaky at best. Get some developers on board, pay them VERY GOOD and fix it. Get ur shit together guys or drop the insane amounts of money you’re charging. No excuses, seriously.

I prefer short non-recurring subscriptions. Grindr came up with a 24-hour Unlimited access designed to attract the impulsive like me. I haven't bought one though because the price is just prohibitive. It's priced at 25% of its monthly cost! I'm tempted to subscribe if they extend it from 24 hours to 7 days and have options for both Xtra and Unlimited to choose from.
Does it really take less than 24 hours to hook up these days? Each person is different.

Totally agree. Far too high in price. Ridiculous. Glad this has been raised.

Xtra should be available in binary prices for hours or for a day will increase the numbers and grinder users interest. As per their availability they can pay easily and use feature. Will definitely increase the audiance who'll pay for use.

1) fix the app from making my iPhone run hot and it gets so slow it’s unbearable and it’s ridiculous. Maybe itd be worth paying for if it didn’t fuck up multiple times a day. 2) make an app for Apple Watch so it’s easy to respond to people. 3) you should definitely try to humble yourself with your prices because you haven’t fixed the bugs for this app to be worth half of what your charging. Thanks.

Really too expensive unlimited subscription. You get more people to subscribe if you make it half price of the existing price. Thanks in advanced

As long as people want to pay, prices will not fall. This platform should be fully accessible to all, and not divide people who can and cannot afford. Prices should be affordable for the entire cross-section of society, not just for those with a thicker wallet.
