Stricter verification
I would like for Grindr to implement stricter verification for new and existing users in an effort to combat underage individuals posing as adults, bots, etc. I've heard a number of stories of men who have chatted with individuals who they thought were of legal age, only to find out upon meeting them that they're some horny teen. I'm proposing the implementation of verification measures such as ID (Government issued, driver's license, passport, etc), bank account, submitting a facial selfie with a piece of paper visible displaying a verification code, email verification, as well as changing the age requirements to make it so users must be 21 or older to join Grindr. If this is implemented, I'm hoping this sparks a new trend across the internet where sites implement strict verification measurements in an effort to keep minors off the internet.
I'd also like for all new and existing profiles be required to have face pictures of the user with a verification code displayed, with failure to do so resulting in immediate account termination. It should also be a requirement for both new and existing members to fill out their profiles as well

This site has been over run with fake profiles and catfish. Not sure if it is kids hating or game playing either way all the flagging and flash reports. These are people who are both dangerous and childish steal people's info or have mental illness or are just catty and jealous. This city has an abundance of them. I don't swim with those catfish, you need to check ID's make sure people are who they say and admitted your site maybe I come back but I dint like boys or haters and you have really nothing but now they have ruined your site made it unsafe and risky to be ones self because if the work we did to carve out a space that was fun and safe they feel like it is a given and take it for granted. Disrespectful game players and fakers. I don't do self hate. So I'm leaving. If you stay be very careful these little haters and kids will get you in trouble and will drag us all back into the closet if we are not careful, they are spoiled by and ignorant to our efforts our blood and all we did to make a place. I have lost many friends good men along the way I won't see them disrespected like this I won't be disrespected like this. If this is what the future is to be it has no place for me. Grinder if you want me back clean up your site it is now toxic and full of fakers. Ask for ID's track the flags you get admister your site unless you want a pond of catfish and nothing else

Current/valid drivers or identity card upload for account creation. Grindr employees are required to review the submission of the account creation for duplicate accounts and this implementation into the app will help law enforcement agencies keep track of any sex offenders on file who are not permitted to use electronic devices. This will keep minors off the app and save a few honest men. Also, reduce the presence of other predators such as Creep Catchers and it's affiliates from targeting people whether they intend the defamation or not. A lot of unnecessary harm can be prevented if we hold grindr accountable for adding safety and security to this unsecured environment. People exploit this app in various ways and it needs to be revised posthaste.

I don’t own a cell phone. Surely other methods are available to verify a human if you honestly are not planning to sell or use a cell number for some other unstated purpose.

Gostaria que quando bloqueassem as pessoas as conversas não fossem apagadas para comprovar as coisas.

A lot of (smart) people pretty quickly ask for your Snapchat username to verify your identity. I don't want to share my social media on Grindr, but still want to know who I am talking to and they want to know the same.
I understand some video features have been added, but I would like to see a video verification feature where people don't need to share their snap or download/signup for snapchat just to verify their ID with someone on Grindr. Obviously, verification by Grinder itself is a massive task so keep it on the user.
Let us send a 3-5 second video just to say, "Hey Andy, it's Mike here." You can hold up your agreed upon fingers, show your face, today's newspaper or whatever you agreed on and then that's it. People are still going to abuse this feature to flash something, but with just a few seconds it's pretty limited, they can pay if they want to send longer videos. Put a watermark on it for VERIFICATION, reduce the size/quality, whatever, but would be a great add to the app.

People should have to take a face selfie image and upload id to grindr to verify they are who they say they are.
The public profile don't see any off this so u can still stay discrete but the profile will have a verified by Grindr mark or stamp on it -

Unlimited members should be given an option which allow us to appear offline to specific profiles, but online to everyone else. Yeeeah, and there really should be an option to verify our profiles. Way way to many people just looking to snoop into our business…example is giving out your address only to have someone block you immediately after(scary stuff.) A “geofence option” should be added; we choose a radius and only until a person is within that radius do they receive our actual address. Smart, eh? Lol

When someone’s used your pictures, have the Grindr moderators suspend those accounts unless they verify it’s them. So say im told a catfish has sent my face and nudes to so one else, before having sent them, the catfish’s account should alert itself saying, ‘are you sure these pictures are yours - if not beware of account termination’ and once sent they’re ran through the database to see if the pictures have been used elsewhere on the app. PLEASE LET THIS BE A THING MY PICS HAVE BEEN USED TOO MUCH ON THIS APP!

Along with a no screenshot policy on the app as whole rather than only for expiring pictures (which should be free and unlimited for all FYI), it would be even safer for everyone to have to send a verification picture before being able to use the app and connect to people.
This is for the app to confirm the person is legit, it doesn’t mean we all have to have a public profile picture up if we don’t want to. But verification should be non negotiable

Photo authentication. Have a “verified” photo tick on the profile so you can see they are who they say they are.. this has been an issue with this app ever since it was created!
Too manly fake profiles and trolls. -

I decided to abandon the app, after recently a user decided to harass me from various users, blocking does not help because he is re-create users. the only way is to see the profile creation details.

I think we should have a means where we could identify if someone is for real or not ....if the account is very real the we tick verified ...
Also take not of those people that do say false things about others just to get them off because they are not comfortable with the person -

The phone number register feature is useless, typing the phone number to find account never works, plus it makes people using grindr and able to send messages on grindr such a joke. It messes up everything.
