Give users a warning first before banning
Grindr should give users a warning first before banning
How would you like to be falsely accused of something you didn’t do
The police can easy do a background check on your phone and on Grindr banned account
We’re happy to say that we now have warnings for harassing, bullying, and discriminatory behavior.

This has not started. Grindr did not give me a warning before banning me. I don’t even know why I got banned. This isn’t fair. I believe that I should be able to have my Grindr back.

I recently got banned because a black guy called me a ugly old man just cuz I said hi to him
I Said you are Agist , then he calls me a karen .I said that’s no different then me calling you a N er then he called me a racist
The next day I got banned . Grindr didn’t do anything about his hateful comment he gaslighted me . I said to Grindr in my appeal why would I try to get with a black guy if I was racist? And I sent them pics of my closet friends who just happen to be you guessed it Black . Grindr apologized to
Me and unbanned me. If they had asked me what happened first I wouldn’t of been banned . Some people are so rude . :( -

Perhaps Grindr might discourage splenetic, biggoted and threatening, rants.
For example KapitalLetterKunt refers to transgender people as "confused morons, half witted abominatopns, twats, fuc*ing abominations, Satan, Devil etc". These ravings are reminiscent of "Mein Kampf".
Would writing similarly about Blacks, Jews, women etc., be tolerated? If a staight person referred to gay men in similar fashion they could be prosecuted.
It's depressing, not to mention ironic, to read such hatred from a homosexual, whose brethren, albeit unfairly, are dispised by billions. What's even more dispiriting is that Grindr seems ambivilent.

Excellent point Grindr. Outright banning without giving the alleged 'rulebreaker' an opportunity to explain their alleged actions is just plain stupid and bad service from your non existent customer services. Grindr app and customer services especially paid subscriptions us getting really bad not that it ever was good. You're going to start losing your main base soon if you carry on with this uncaring attitude. Bloody idiots!

I agree 282828% no communication, no explanation why you are banned! this should have been taken in consideration since the begging

Hells yes! They don’t look into any conversation thread(s) and more than half the time people falsely report misuse just to be an assclown.

Grindr doesn't care about " privacy" in January 2021 this year GRINDR was fined $ 10 million US
for sharing private and personal information with their advertisers -

I am a paying customer. I just got banned and no reason given. I filled in a form to request for the reason. All i got back was an automated reply back that due to privacy & safety reasons you will not give me the reason. It is my account, so what privacy? I still do not know what i did wrong and therefor defend myself or ask for prove of your findings. Again, this is how you treat your paying customers.

I have been banned a couple of times for no apparent reason at all. We really deserve feedback if we are violating community standards so we can learn. But i didn't so much as say anything offensive

The vast majority of bans aren't for something that the police would get involved in so I'm not sure what the point of the sentence 'the police can easily do a background check on your phone and a Grindr banned account' actually is.
As a police officer I can tell you categorically that we cannot easily do mobile phone checks; for a start it's expensive so the offence has got to justify it. Secondly we need authorisation under the Regulation of investigatory powers act, which isn't easily obtained. Thirdly, I personally have tried many times to engage with Grindr in relation to assaults that have occurred following a Grindr meet up and because they are based in the USA we have absolutely no power to request data from them. They always insist on a court order from a US court so invariably we cannot get evidence from Grindr.
I know none of this relates to the whole blocking issue, but users need to understand the risks of using the app for hook ups and the fact that the police do not have a magic wand to trace people or secure data especially if it's data that is stored outside of the UK. We can't even access EU data since brexit.

I find it absolutely mind blowing that Grindr users are complacent with catfish, minors, baiters, bots and spammers. Yet Grindr took this suggestion and put it in the works. Search catfish, bots and spammers. I bet someone has a brilliant idea. I’ve been catfished twice. Met up with them once and was gay bashed by two straight guys who used false identities. It’s easy to not be banned. Don’t be a d@ck, sell drugs, prostitute. Pretty much don’t do anything you wouldn’t tell a cop about.

Absolutely, I believe there is nothing wrong with my old account profile that was banned and I was 100% meek and mild ,so willing to look at it, cooperate and change whatever the offense might have been!!! But first of all Grindr wouldn't even reply to me and still hasn't! Which is terrible customer service! Secondly, who exacyly does Grindr think they're teaching/helping?? Nobody is benefitted by the way you are currently disciplining offenses.
if I don't even have a clue what subject my offense is about, how the he'll am i supposed to think about it and learn from it but also prevent it from happening again????** BTW that was 5 months ago, still not even a reply!

I agree. The first time I was banned, it was because grindr falsely thought I was a bot and I waited a couple of days afterward to follow up because I was so confused about what I had done.

When u ask about why grindr banned you, they will send you this:
„ Hi,Thank you for reaching out.
We know that it is upsetting to be banned and we understand why you would want more information on this, however, for privacy and safety reasons, we cannot provide any more specifics about why your account was closed.
As this decision is final, we will not respond to further inquiries about your account. We appreciate your understanding and wish you all the best.Regards,
Jaz 😊 @ Grindr Support„No any respect for users , even if you have used it for many years.
They dont give a reason at all, so Where is the point?
Dear Grindr team, your app is mostly used for sex date. There are many stories about banned peoples without any reasons, why? Why u dont want to say it?
LGBT+ Peoples need a lot of tolerance. Are you sure your team really understand whats that mean?
Dont think so.
Its just a bit of sad.
Good luck for everyone, grindr 10 years ago was much better. -

Yes this I Concur 1000%. Was banned on my tablet account for what reason, I don't have a clue. I do tend to tell a guy off if they ghost me after sending my pics after they asked. Or when a guy never shows up to my place after giving them my address. There are many, many rude inconsiderate guys on grindr. And they desrve to be put in their places. But dont Ban me for sticking up for myself !
