Give users a warning or reasons for banning.
My account was just banned and I have absolutely no clue why. I've been using Grindr for... who knows how long. My account was just banned and I'm now waiting for customer service to get back to me so I can (hopefully) find out why and dispute the issue. I have no problem falling in line with the community guidelines - I had no idea I was even breaking them if that's the case, or if I was reported by a user I still have no clue why.
Grindr - is there any reason for this draconian level of enforcement? I've Googled around and I see I'm not the only one in this predicament.
From a customer service perspective this is beyond appalling and I wish you guys would do better. You're not exactly doing any justice for the community with this sort of virtual law enforcement.
Imagine being pulled over by a cop for having a tail light out (that you didn't know about) and being arrested and sent to jail.

Grindr is abusing and banning people whit not reason at all just because they please to do so i do believed that is time to star some criminal and legal action again then
I was annoyed as I was a Grindr Xytra member and they point blank refused to give me a reason for my account ban and again refused to refund my membership.

I have sent over 7 messages trying to appeal the decision with no response. I bought a second hand iPhone and I found the unpleasant surprise that the phone was already banned from Grindr so I can't open the account in my new phone.
I think you will find Grindr does not read and respond to any appeals There lots of messages on other sites saying there is legal action being considered considered against Grindr for bans on accounts without a reason given when the block the IMEI of the device meaning that device can’t never be used on certain apps
I don’t understand why it takes so long for customer service to get back to you. I’ve sent messages on my ban appeal nearly everyday for 13 days now & still no one has got back to me. I’ve been banned & no reason given & to ban my phone as well. It’s totally wrong. Everyone should be told the actual reason & given a chance to explain or argue the decision. If someone from Grindr actually reads these comments. Can you please explain your reasons why for the above issues! Also read my messages in my appeal for my ban!!
19 months on grindr
3 months into a 12 months xtra account and I got banned today for no reason I’ve tried to reach out but they won’t tell me why I’m banned
They won’t even refund the other 9 months membership I cannot now use. How can they take your money but then not allow you to use the service without giving a reason. That’s plain FRAUD
I also got banned. No explanation and customer service is appalling.

I have been banned. No reason given & I feel I’ve followed all Grindr guidelines. Been waiting a week now for a response to my appeal to have ban lifted. I’ve given all details requested on the appeal form. I’ve messaged 5 times now & got nothing back. My first message says solved, with no email sent to me stating reasons. Even put a block on my phone so I can’t open another account. Very poor customer service. A lot of people currently use Grindr, like myself, to communicate with others safely during the current covid situation. Just banning people for no reason, or giving a valid reason to people, could have even more of an effect on their mental health if they are struggling Feeling alone.
Rob needs to get a grip as I’ve responded numerous time.....this is the hopeless customer service that Grindr offers....they have no idea of how to communicate with users and are the most unhelpful
Remember if Grindr blocks you IMEi and it’s an Apple device then report to Apple ASAP

Exactly! I've been told nothing about why I've been suspended and my ticket closed with no response from them.
Alls it is , is every time someone that you weren’t interested in gets ignored or felt snubbed they simply report your profile over and over again and the system is designed to automatically boot profiles that have been reported a certain amount of times , it’s a algorithm and none of us has a way of stopping the haters from repetitive reporting of profiles that won’t flirt back
Iam also banned recently.i didsnot get any respond .if i banned 1 mail.even i unable to use another mail account also.id onece banned the mobile device doesnot supposed to use grinder app.till now no respond from grinder community.still iam banned
If we are going to be banned completely have prof of what we done. I want my account unbanned . I can’t even get customer service to get in touch with me and it’s been like 2 weeks now .

Logged into check a message logged back ouut to long back in after a while & I was banned & then you banned my iPhone from making another Grindr account how does one app posses so much power over ones phone is beyond me & I want this fixed ASAP ! This isn’t right to just banned with ouut proper explanation!
You ban people’s accounts and give no reason but you keep the moneys for the subscription and won’t refund Luckily Apple have refunded my subscription cost I hope many innocent people like me no longer use your app as your subscription services is fraud
