I’m sorry but I’m not really up on these terms meaning. I have ultimate respect for anyone in our gay community and don’t wish anyone harm by my words. However a little guidance would be helpful. I really did not have a clue what the pronouns meant. It was tempting to put something humerus I’m glad I didn’t now. In return can people in the transgender community please stop using terms like creepy old men and no oldies. Can’t help getting old this is making me feel very uncomfortable. Especially if I want to just offer a comment of support and solidarity and get blocked automatically like a common *** pest. I understand the desire to get rid of unwanted attention but at what cost to me or other oldish people. I’m only 50 years old.

Add ability to filter out users by gender and or sexuality. If you're not interested in women, then you should be able to filter them out. Grindr used to be for men only, so that was not necessary. But now grindr has a little bit of everyone...

I want users to be required to select gender preference options because I get messages from gay men even though I’m a trans girl and I want to be only on people’s feeds that like girls

I notice that while I can narrow my searches in many ways, Gender is not one of them - Which I should think a rather important screening tool.

Grindr used to be only for gay guys. Now it seems it's for all genders which is great, but I'm gay and tbh I'm really sick of all the genders that I have absolutely no ****** desire for clogging up the limited spaces we get. Please allow us to hide genders that are incompatible with our own ****** preference

As a ***** man, I'm really sick of clicking profiles to realize its a straight dude looking for women with homophobic things written on his profile. Please add a free gender filter so our feeds are not filled with people looking for other gender options. More and more straight men and transwomen and nonbinary folks are using Grindr (and even some cis women), but there is no way to filter out the gender(s) you are not interested in. Everyone should have the option to only see the gender(s) they're interested in.

Would it be be possible to add filter options based on gender and what a person is looking for? An example is I am a crossdresser looking for crossdressers/TRANS, so when I open Grindr I only want to see this gender not everyone who belongs to the Trans tribe group.

I think it would be a great idea to include a search filter that allows you to choose which gender you want to display. Man, trans man, trans woman

How about the trans people have their own site/app/space. People aren't transphobic, just ****** off at many of the limited nukber of profiles available being hijacked by hordes of trans non-gay people (as well and beggars and druggies)so we get less choice.
The misused pronouns are self-descriptive. If someone want to describe themselves in a certain way that should be respected, especially by trans of all people!

With Grindr becoming more diverse it is important that we meet everyone's diverse needs and desires on there. I want people of different gender minorities to feel safe on the app, but I am a gay cis man and I still need the ability to find men who are into men. A lot of my feed is filled with trans women and men who love them. Neither can fulfill what I need from the app and I can't do it either. There's also an influx of straight women joining the app for whatever reason. This makes my experience on Grindr less enjoyable as I have to spend a too much time blocking these profiles in order to keep it to what I want (and I only have a certain amount of blocks.) It's time that Grindr let us set a gender preference so that every gay, bi, and trans needs can be met.

Let us look for gender in filters (cis, trans, ...) would be a very good improvement.

BLAH BLAH BLAH its a **** online app. You cannot change other people behavior by regulating there freedom of expression in a cooperate policy because you disagree with it. What needs to be taken seriously is public education and healthcare for all. we can get back the social stigma of trans another day. This is literally the least important thing in the world. As far i am concerned making your own tribal cohort is a insult to male sexuality and to the cost of life as the price for men to be happy among men without fear of death. To be recognized trans issues as a separate issue. Is a real insult to the face of all the men who died for loving who they love. This is why nobody takes you seriously.

I saw only a handful of topics covering this. Most not brought to the forefront and maybe it's not a problem for some but it is to me.
Grindr was developed and pushed as the everything gay app. You want to hook up, you go here. You want to find a LTR, you go here. But it's been a while since they pushed the update for women and trans to open their doors to more users. I have no problem with trans or women. I just don't like ******. I like ****.
I'm probably not the only free user out there who agree's when I say there needs to be a filter for gender. Sure inclusivity is great, but the apps still marketed for gay men and when you see a women there it takes a spot where a cute guy could be. It catches you off guard and it makes you wonder why she's here on this app. Is it because she's looking for a gay best friend? Or is it because she thinks she'll find mr charming. Except to me it just seems very unlikely - hence why they have apps like tindr.
And if they are trying to market it for everyone then add filters like this. Even tindr has a filter for "men" or "female" showing only guys or showing only girls.
Support this and get it to the front. Maybe you don't care, that's not a bad thing. But if you agree then give it a vote.

As a Grindr user whose day job is as a linguist, the whole idea of "customised pronouns" is stupid in any case. The whole logic of a pronoun is to stand as a semantically empty place marker in the spot where a noun usually stands. If people start making up their own pronouns that defeats the whole purpose of pronouns, and they become nouns. You can't have people making up their own customised pronouns. No one's going to use them because language just doesn't work that way.

They wont. Grindr is money hungry. If they do added it will be a subscription thing which is beyond stupid. The trans are freaking annoying on Grindr. Im interested in biological males. Not women in the present mor past.
Blocking does not work either. The same trans keep creating a new profile every few days to a few weeks. It is ridiculous. I do not want to see women/trans on grindr

Let's keep this simple. Add a free optional filtering for Trans. Let those not interested filter them out. And those interested to find ONLY them. No need for a second app. Keep all the profiles on the same network. Letting those who are interested in both find both. That sould please all parties involved. Plus keeping the match rate and new user accounts up. Keeping grindr as the most used Gay chat app. No website or app offers the trans community what we have here. Let's welcome them to the largest group.

I believe crossdressers should also be a tribe of their own and trans as well as many crossdressers do not want to identify as trans and many want to be a part of the trans community that they say they are trans and are only hairy guys wearing women's clothes identifying as trans should mean that you identify yourself as the opposite gender to everyone everywhere everyday and crossdressers are ones who are in the closet in one way or another and only want to be the opposite *** behind closed doors
