better category options
More category and filter refinement for better matches… younger 4 older, older 4 younger, younger for daddy, age preferences besides the slider control... like “close in age”, etc. I also miss the ethnic filter even though it’s not very pc. It'd be nice to know initially and a lot less frustrating not to have to sift through all the profiles (when somebody actually does bother to write one), only to find that chances are pretty low the perspective person would even respond. thanks

Friends only tag
Please add a “friends only” tag. My husband and I are in a committed relationship but would love to make some more friends locally after moving. It’s been an impossible and depressing experience on Grindr so far but this tag would help us filter through profiles and only approach people who are genuinely looking for the same thing as we are. We feel really isolated because we don’t know any other LGBTQ+ people near us. A Friends only tag or setting would really help us.

Add a new “Chaser” tribe
I think it’s time for Grindr to be more inclusive with a part of the community that is always left aside, the Chubby, Bears, etc… Adding “Chaser” as a tribe would make everything easier for us since other gay apps dedicated to Bears and Chasers are not really famous in some places.

Language/country filter
It would be great if there was a filter that allowed you to search for people by the country they are from and the language they speak.
The world is multicultural and residency is fluid. It would be brill to be able to go to another country on holiday and find someone who speaks a common language or indeed in your home country to find a particular country where you might have an affinity.

Location
Just as we are able to turn on/off the age feature, I believe there should be the same setting for city/town location as well added to the profile.
As someone who lives outside NYC, most people are unwilling to travel outside the area once they discover what location you are in. This feature would greatly reduce that from the start. It wouldn't be the same as sending you exact location rather a general city/town, state.

Language
A language filter needs to be added along with a Country preference filter. I live in a border town in the USA and I can’t filter out people living across the border in Mexico. It is annoying bexause 75% of the people that show up are in Mexico or do not speak English. It is one of the main reasons I no longer pay for a premium Grindr account!! Why pay for a service that does not meet my needs??

More room in the Bio please. 250 characters is very limiting. Make it like 1000

Longer bios
Allowing for more characters in bio allows one to flesh out personal details, desires, info, etc, as opposed to using shorthand. Those who want to keep bios brief can, but as Grindr seeks to expand and cater to different crowds, perhaps a longer bio could help with diversifying the app’s usage.

Creo que su algoritmo es muy cerrado a mas opciones, en i caso, me gustan las personas de complexión fisica grande, gorditos y en mi perfil los resultados son de personas iguales a mi, da una mala imagen de la aplicacion, emparejando personas de un mismo fisico

More is more...but not always. Most of us don't like wasting time and swimming through murky waters. Many people are having difficulty finding their type because apparently it's not financially in the favor or Grindr (and similar apps) to let us know how few matches we really have. Not only should the race filter come back, add as many filters as possible so we can get to the handful of APPROPRIATE matches. I WILL GLADLY PAY. Age limit for people to view my profile
I want to limit my profile so only people in my age range can view me. I get a lot of DMs by creepy old men and it makes me uncomfortable

Bisexual should be a tribe and not a tag. Or there should be more profiles visible with the bi tag. For transwomen who don’t want chasers.
As transwoman who don’t like dating chasers but are open to dating men it would be fair to have more access to profiles of bisexual men. Because it’s not a tribe but a tag only three profiles are being shown to me. This is very limiting to trans women trying to have real dates in the app.

Too many people lying about their age
Ive only encountered one instance where someone was lying because they were underage, and that was forever ago. I have an issue with guys constantly lying on their profile, saying they are younger than they are. It shouldnt be adjustable like the position or weight tabs are. DOB is asked right away when an account is created, so profile aged should coincide with that date. If they dont want to show their true age, fine, but the only option for that should be not showing any age at all.

Me gustaría pasarles algo que estaba muy bien, pero lo cambiaron y ahora no está tan bien, antes se podía filtrar todos los perfiles por edad, incluso los que tienen edad oculta, ahora solo se pueden filtrar los que son visibles, esto fue un poco limitante. antes estaba bien.
