2. A new filter toggle for travellers

   Lately I'm spotting a lot of people in my city you are just passing through as travelers. I can tell this because they have the little airplane travel icon.

   Would it be possible to add this as a toggle in the filters? My preference is to chat with local users rather than people who are just visiting.

3. Bring back ethnicity filter

   I am writing as a minority member of the LGBTQ+ community who has been deeply impacted by the removal of the ethnicity filter. Living in a predominantly white area, I have found it increasingly challenging to connect with others who share my cultural background and lived experiences. The filter previously enabled me and many others to create genuine connections and feel a sense of belonging that is often missing offline and within broader dating spaces.

   Please listen to the feedback from minority communities who rely on the app for more than romance—we depend on it for community, solidarity, and understanding.

6. Mandatory sex field and filter

   I am a homosexual male and am only interested in finding members of the same sex, what this app was originally intended for. There are far too many women on the platform claiming to be "boys", "men", etc. This is really disconcerting and the current "gender" filter doesn't help much because it is not mandatory and buggy, I can't even set my "gender" and there are so many options it is just nonsensical and ridiculous. I've restricted it to "men" and "not specified" and, of course, I am still seeing many women trying to entice homosexual men into heterosexual sex.

   I really enjoy using the app and appreciate the platform you’ve created for people to connect. I wanted to suggest bringing back the race filter—not as a tool for exclusion, but as a way to better tailor searches to individual preferences.

   Personally, I’m particularly attracted to Black men and often find it difficult to connect with them in my area. While I do chat with and have made meaningful connections with people of all backgrounds, having the option to filter by race would make it easier to connect with those I’m most interested in romantically.

9. Bring back the specific location on map

   Hi, I’m currently paying for the most premium membership, but I’ve noticed an issue on the Explore feature. Even though I set a specific location on the map, the app keeps showing me profiles from other areas instead of the exact area I selected. Also, the distance used to be visible (in meters or km), and now it’s gone — that was very useful. I would really like to have that feature back, since sometimes we’re specifically looking to connect with people from a certain area. Please consider bringing it back. Thanks!

10. Please bring back the adjustable distance filter

    Please bring back the free adjustable distance from your location setting. As it is currently ridiculously awful at showing profiles that are close to you or nearby. When in fact they are 800 km away or sometimes in a completely different country 🤔. I paid for more custom filters and things are just trash. I am constantly getting my board showing profiles that are definitely not nearby! 😤😡 makes it a complete waste of money

    I’d like to respectfully request that Grindr take steps to maintain its core purpose as a space primarily designed for gay men. Over time, the platform has seen an increase in profiles from individuals who identify as women or transsexuals, which can sometimes shift the dynamics of what has traditionally been a space for same-sex male connections. While inclusivity is important, it’s equally valid to preserve platforms that were created with a specific community in mind. Many users joined Grindr because it was a place to connect with other gay men without having to explain or navigate around different expectations or identities. Perhaps there could be clearer guidelines or category filters to help ensure that the user experience stays true to the app’s original intent. This isn’t about exclusion, but about keeping spaces focused and authentic for the communities they were made to support.

    I’d like to request that Grindr bring back the feature that allowed users to select their nationality and filter profiles based on nationality preferences. This feature was incredibly helpful for those of us who value cultural connection and feel more comfortable or interested in connecting with people from specific backgrounds. Nationality is an important part of many people’s identities, and being able to share that on our profiles—and see it on others—helps create more meaningful interactions. 15. Filter out men that are 100 miles or over

    Filter out Men traveling and over 100 miles away . It is annoying trying to find someone online that is close and men 100 miles and over keep showing in my search as if they are close.

    Add a linked site, “ GRINDR TRANSITIONS” for the Trans Male and Female Members, can link to it from GRINDER HOME PAGE, site has gotten so saturated with Trans profiles you can barely find a Cis Male anymore.
