Why is my "type" now a extra feature.
Why is it that I can't view my type like trans, without having to pay for extra? Like if I turn on my type every profile is under the extra. Why make it so I have to constantly be annoyed and harassed by profiles I have no interest in an are not my type. An no matter how many times I say not interested or even block accounts I get the same exact guys messaging me. Due to they either "lost messages" which I doubt, or after I've blocked them theyll delete their account just to make one a week…

Hello there! I'm fond of Grindr; it's quite the app for meeting new folks and perhaps finding a meaningful connection. However, I've noticed a few limitations. For instance, I have a preference for black individuals and trans men, yet the app lacks filters for such identities or ethnicities. It would be incredibly beneficial to have such options, aiding in the quest to find the perfect match. I hope such features are incorporated in the future.

Introduce Ethicity/Race filter again!
Sometimes I’m in the mood for oranges sometimes I’m in the mood for grapefruit. Sometimes I don’t care but it’d be nice to have an option to filter out grapefruit if I want oranges as a personal preference. Otherwise I have to go through all oranges trying to find a grapefruit. If someone doesn’t like this filter they don’t have to use it.

Alternative app or section for (or allow effective filtering of) Trans community
I'm a gay man, as are the majority of those who use Grindr. Subsequently, I'm not looking to meet woman, nor unsurprisingly do I find women attractive, which is making gay (and bi) male on male networking very laborious. I will be leaving this app in the near future if this doesn't change, as it's effectively becoming a hookup site for "straight" men looking for Trans women. Isn't that what Tinder and Bumble etc are for? Why aren't Trans women using those sites instead of trying to find dates or hookups with gay men - it makes absolutely no sense.

No ethnicity filter
I will not be renewing my membership once it expires. I’ve only had one 3 month membership, and that is long enough to see that it was a waste of money. While I live in an area that is predominantly POC, I’m not. I have many friends of color, but I’m simply not attracted to them in a sexual way. Some POC even agree with me that that they have their own preferences. I would like to be able to filter out the profiles that I’m not going to look at anyway. There is nothing racist about this. Bring Tribe filtering back for free accounts
The decision to move the ability to filter by Tribe behind the paywall makes the app essentially unusable for me. I can look at a grid of people I'm largely uninterested in or that I have little in common with, or I can look at the closest 3 people who might be of interest.
I understand the need to encourage memberships to help pay for the app as a whole, but filtering feels like a baseline function that is necessary to make the app worth opening. This won't be a decision of if I pay for Xtra or not, it'll…

Bring back ethnicity filter
Bring back ethnicity filter , it’s not racist. I understand why you did it , but coming from a black person it’s not racist. It just makes browsing more convinient. Other sites have it and it’s not a problem. No one cares if they are filtered out. You want who wants you. It’s also contradictory to remove it while asking people to input their ethnicity. Removing the feature felt performative.

Make the app strictly for gay MEN again!
This app is the most popular app for gay MEN. For far too long there has been a massive influx of WOMEN and those that identify as FEMALE. Stop trying to be an all inclusive all and get back to your roots as an app for MEN!! It’s hard enough to try and find decent gay guys to spend time with we don’t need or deserve to have to sift though WOMEN and those that think they are a WOMEN!!!

Beer drinkers
Have users add to their profile whether they drink at home or not I’m just tired of those heavy beer drinkers that drink one can after the other and think this is okay for everyone. This is a massive turnoff they smell beer, their breath smells bear and they can never drive cause they had a drink mid afternoon.
