Too many add
I pay almost $300 for this bullshit Al. Used to be better. I’m getting so many ads in my message window and pop ups for this boost me bullshit. 2nd subscription is up on march 05 and it will be my last. Scruff is so much better user friendly so and is only 1:2 the price.
It was fun for a while but I deserve to get what I’m paying for and Grindr just doesn’t deliver.1 vote -

Less commercials
Cut back on the commercials they’re getting ridiculous!! I look at one profile and it goes to another damn commercial! It’s getting old!!!

Relevant Ads
Have ads that are relevant to the user.
A partnership with onlyfans for instance to show profiles of creators based on filters the user has put in. Example: top, interested in bears show ads to bears on OF.
Example: Bottom interested in trans show trans tops(or just trans) on OF.This would be much more relevant than the ads we see for games etc.
Also having an anonymous way to pay for Grindr and a more affordable subscription model would be nice.

Audience specific ads
Given what Grindr is (an app for men and trans to find and meet other men and trans) I find it odd the amount of ads I’m served to meet hot women, download an all to build sexy anime girls or download a game to help an ugly girl be pretty so some straight guy acknowledges her.
It seems a little deaf to the audience and lazy on the advertiser to not push the same product with a gay marketing narrative.
I find it such a strange choice to allow these sexuality specific ads to exist in this place.

When I'm on Grindr - and only when I'm on Grindr - I'm hijacked, taken to this website where my browser flashes all these warnings about this website being unsafe. Could you please ensure that your advertisers aren't malicious practitioners I'm also not able to make choices in ad content. Please correct this.

Targeted ads only!
Ok I get having a banner and a pop up every now and again you need to make money… great the “no nut November” campaign that was specifically targeted at gay men was great!! I went and bought the trail mix and showed the catchy ad to others who than went and bought the nuts! How to use grindr as a tool, to better our relationships with a cord of values campaign using marketing strategy.
Marketing is one of my things but I’m also a Nurse. I know the importance of promoting a healthy comunity amount us. I’m not saying to makes this. Social media, I think the app s is is really good. Is just for them to use their power to heal our relationships in our community with add camping that promotes values. The app Can have a section we’re you can have your group of friends, like people you love and like but you don’t fuck them and you still be great friends. App is great as is because it’s privacy.

End the extremely long mobile game ads.
These ads are way too long and intrusive. All they do is make me quit the app immediately to get rid of it. Ads should be no longer than 5 secs and it’s the same game ad every damn time. This has to be the most annoying thing about Grindr. I understand the free platform needs ads to support itself but this ruins the user experience and I think there are better ways to handle longer ads. Auto app downloads are terrible. Stop cheating those advertisers
Maybe give users the option of consent instead of allowing apps to be downloaded automatically. Too much risk of bad apps bringing bad actors with it. Ya gotta stop
