Recurring drain clogs – is it worth doing "preventive" cleaning?
I’ve had to call out a plumber twice in the last year because of backup issues in my main sewer line. Each time they just snake it, tell me it’s "probably tree roots or grease," and leave. I’m tired of the stress of wondering when the next overflow will happen. I’ve heard about "preventive" cleaning, but it sounds like one of those upsells that companies push just to get more money out of you. Poderiam adicionar função que permita escolher até qual distância recomendar perfis, por exemplo adicionar ela no xtra, ou em assinatura avulsa. Também trazer de volta na aba de pesquisa, buscar endereço exato e não só pela cidade.

Prevent multiple accounts
Some people delete their account and recreate it more often than they change their underwear! I block/hide them, then they reappear with a fresh profile. This defeats the purpose of blocking/hiding profiles. There should be some penalty for doing this. Maybe you can't sign-up again for a month after deleting your account.
Sure people have multiple emails, may not be full proof, but diverts the pain to the offenders rather than those of us who stick with our own profiles.

Unsolicited nsfw
I think, when sending a picture to someone who has their NSFW settings to "No thanks" or "Not at first," the sender should get a Clippy style pop-up.
It could say something like "Keep it PG, folks! This user doesn't want to receive NSFW messages. Please check your message for inappropriate content." Or "Preserve the mystery! This user doesn't want NSFW pics right off the bat. Please check your message for inappropriate content."
Now, this would be annoying as all hell, but there are obviously a lot of guys who need the reminder. I understand that the occasional unsolicited dick…

Consent and NSFW pictures
Educate on consent! Don’t promote assault!
If a person has NSFW set to ‘Never’ on their profile, herein as the receiver, the following should happen:
- A user sending a photo to the receiver receives a pop up dialog box informing them that the user does not consent to NSFW photos and asks the sender whether they would like to proceed with sending the photos.
- The sender has the option to press “Yes - these photos are safe” and the photos would proceed to send. The sender could press “No - these photos are NSFW” and the photos wouldn’t send.

How to find that ‘one pain point’ which every founder is talking about?
I read a lot of articles and posts on social networks regarding startups and how you should start your project to be successful. No face no chat
Too many users hide their faces, which makes the app feel anonymous and unsafe.
This anonymity inevitably undermines trust, accountability, and meaningful interaction, ultimately harming Grindr’s interests.
Requiring a clear face photo would improve safety and overall user experience.

Does Gower Distance require transformation of correlated variables?
Hello, I have a question about Gower Distance.
I read a paper that states that Gower Distance assumes complete independence of the variables, and requires transforming continuous data into uncorrelated PCs prior to calculating Gower Distance.
I have not been able to find any confirmation of this claim, is this true, are correlated variables an issue with Gower Distance? And if so, would it be best to transform all continuous variables into PCs, or only those continuous variables that are highly correlated with one another grow a garden?
