There’s a pretty consistent horror of blocking somebody and having them create a new account to come and berate you all over again.

I believe Grindr should be a safe space, and creating a one-to-one relationship between the device and the user profile should help minimise bullying on the platform by better enforcing blocks.

Other considerations: email address verification, or a minimum phone number sign up verification step. I’d also argue that members can only have 1 Grindr account per identity provider and that deleting an account creates a 30 day delay until they can re-create it.

Let us refresh the screen by ourselves. Don't have the refresh occurring automatically. It is really annoying when you are looking at profiles and suddenly the screen refreshes and bounces back to the top again.

If I block someone because I work with them, I can still see their face and title. Colleagues who blocked me can still see mine - very awkward! Block it both ways.

If you need a way to distinguish between people that you've blocked, use the time blocked or reason for blocking.

Getting really bored of the 'disconnected' ******** now. 6 months, 3 different phones and multiple wifi connections but that BS ststus message keeps appearing. Therefore it's a grindr issue. Fix it.

Allow users to block profiles that use words or phrases that they find offensive, such as racist, ageist, transphobic, etc. a user can ID an offensive word or phrase and block and profile that uses them. Profiles are unlocked when the words/phrases are deleted.

A temporary blocking feature for when you want to ‘disappear’ from someone for a day or period of time. Think of all the times your just not in the mood for a certain someone and wish you could hide for a day, you still want to keep them as an option later. Just not now lol.

Figure out some way to block these idiots who send messages, show as offline, then claim they can’t see your message and ask you to text them. I’ve blocked over 100 of them in the last two weeks. I report them every time but nothing seems to be changing.

These bots are definitely getting on everyone’s nerves. They send a bunch of annoying messages and have sooo many different accounts. It’s starting to ruin the whole Grindr experience.

Now that individual unblock is active it's possible for people who you've chatted with to temporarily block you, and then quietly much later unblock and have all your chats and photos back without you knowing. There should be an option that if someone who you've chatted to blocks you then you can double block to prevent them secretly getting all this back.

Based on your preferences grinder can find people that match your list or up to a percentage match. This can be optional for those looking for kwikies or relationships or *********.

If someone messages you, be able to see distance even if they have location setting off, but perhaps system will not allow over-ride of settings. I think some people are not even aware that location setting us off.
Also, as one person suggested, show direction of distance, whether short or long.
