There are far to many accounts offering to meet up so long as your sign up to their OF or Fanvue. They are using Grindr to promote their pages. I’d love to suggest a new inbox filter called “Unanswered.”
The idea is simple: a button similar to “Unread,” but instead it shows conversations where you haven’t replied yet.
Many of us open messages, read them quickly, and then get distracted — maybe by work, another app, or even an ad. Once the message is opened, it no longer appears as “unread,” and it’s easy to forget to respond. This can lead to missed connections that we genuinely would have liked to continue.
An “Unanswered” filter would solve this problem in a clean and intuitive way:

Educate on consent! Don’t promote assault!
If a person has NSFW set to ‘Never’ on their profile, herein as the receiver, the following should happen:
- A user sending a photo to the receiver receives a pop up dialog box informing them that the user does not consent to NSFW photos and asks the sender whether they would like to proceed with sending the photos.
- The sender has the option to press “Yes - these photos are safe” and the photos would proceed to send. The sender could press “No - these photos are NSFW” and the photos wouldn’t send.

The bots, ‘lesbians’, ‘women’ etc. Are out of control. You need to have a way to verify that accounts are human. This can be done very simply with a quiz and photo verification. It’s ridiculous to spend this kind of money and I have to start every browsing session with blocking the 20 new ‘women’ who have popped up on my grid overnight. Nine out of 10 ‘taps’ are bots and fake account accounts. I find Sniffies to be a far superior and easier hook up option not to mention a quarter of the price

How to find that ‘one pain point’ which every founder is talking about?
I read a lot of articles and posts on social networks regarding startups and how you should start your project to be successful. Ethnicity
I am European, majored in Sociology, and feel strongly that “white” is a race… not an ethnicity. European should be added as an option. Bumble added European and “Jewish” as options. Both should be added to Grindr as well. Thank you.

No face no chat
Too many users hide their faces, which makes the app feel anonymous and unsafe.
This anonymity inevitably undermines trust, accountability, and meaningful interaction, ultimately harming Grindr’s interests.
Requiring a clear face photo would improve safety and overall user experience.
Platform design should balance privacy with accountability, and making face photos mandatory would be a reasonable and responsible approach for Grindr.1 vote -

Someone tried to blackmail me and they got me on Instagram and threatened to post my inappropriate photos, which were when I was a minor and send them to my friends and family which are ALSO minors I can’t find their account user or anything because grinder instantly removes the account so I am unable to hold any evidence

Distance
I dont want to see men that are 30 miles away in the nearby blocks. We should show people that are in the area. It seems to be randomized now which makes it difficult for users and honestly feels like im wasting my time.
