Have a section with all profile hidden and authentic pictures like scruff. I spend day to look for serious person.

No screenshots
You really need to not allow people to take screenshots of conversations. There are scammers on here and not allowing them to take screenshots will help a lot of people. Other apps don't allow screenshots.

Set privacy settings once.. not every time I start the app!
The new privacy setting screen that pops up on every start of the app is too much! Set it once, or add a link in iOS settings screen, but not every time.

Make the received pictures viewable by tapping
Please consider making it so that we don't have to see received pictures unless we want to. This feature would be like Instagram's photo sent in DM, you would have to tap it to see. It doesn't have to be a disappearing picture on Gridnr, meaning once you view it, it would still remain in the chat. But please consider making it so that one would have to tap the message to see the picture, like "Picture received. Tap to view." Be able to speak with Grindr Reps
2 weeks ago another person verbally attacked me saying I was going to get what I deserved “you old fucking faggot”! Then he said “you’re a dead man”. He was 4 miles away and his profile header was J and he was 24 I think. I think he blocked me because he and the comments disappeared. Last week he basically did the same thing saying I thought I was better than everyone, would get what I deserved and to enjoy my awakening. Verify account to reduce Ghosting and fake profiles
It appears Hosting and fake profile to solicit pictures and to raise user emotions before ghosting them is becoming more common than not.
Not only does this impact the mental health of users who are being ghosted, but it seriously impacts the user and makes them question their existence without our community.
Fake users are getting off on getting attention but never following through, nor ever going to meet, but lead the user on before blocking them 2 mins before meeting.There needs to be some facility within the app to verify the user, or a 'commit to meet' option…

Blocked Users
Stop allowing blocked users to still have access to our profile. That’s completely stupid. That’s why they block so they can’t see us. A boy I blocked yesterday and on the blocklist STILL messaged me. That makes Grindr a dangerous creepy app.

Safety and Security and Children
There are and have been drug seekers of illegal distribution of pills, drug seekers of street drugs, drug dealers selling drugs, pedófilos and molestation of children because Grindr did not have the appropriate and necessary tools to protect and inhibit activities such as these that can pose health and safety risks on multiple levels. Washington D.C. and the TDC have been contacted. I urge you take immediate action to ensure these won’t ever happen again and giving users the option to report another profile or activity is not good enough and does not ensure someone will be reported or followed…

Photo Verification
Having had my photos used on fake profiles as well as having been tricked using faked photos more times than I would like to admit I feel a photo verification process similar to Tinder’s is very necessary to the safety of users.

Re-enable the app to allow device geospoofing for Xtra users
With the 9.8.0 update Grindr does not allow mock location support on the device. This has the potential to put queer people at risk and if a user choose to change the location of their device then the app should respect that. There are so many privacy and safety reasons to allow this in the queer commmunity.

Blocking users and any accounts they may create
I think it is in the interest of the grindr community's safety to create a "Block user and any accounts they may create" feature. I've been harassed by several people who simply make a new blank account and then approach me in app. They make new accounts almost weekly and their undesired contact has persisted for going on two years. I block them every single time. Once he even catfished me with other people's pictures. I highly recommend a feature that links blocks accounts by registration information so that undesired contact is limited.

Force users to verify that a social media account is actually theirs. It would make it more difficult for catfishers to scam people.

Try telling people why they got banned
Literally, unconsensual nudes are an undying mould on the app with entitled, creepy cis men always throwing pictures of their dicks at people who explicitly state they don't want photos. I can almost guarantee half the people complaining about getting banned are one of the thousand faceless profiles sending unwanted nudes. Give repeat offenders a pop up saying "did you ask?" Before they're allowed to send a photo. need FULL control over ALL chat sounds (sent and refresh)
We can change and turn off SOME sounds like new chats, but can't change or individually silence the chat refresh sound or the annoying sound when every message is sent?
Really needs expanded to allow full control of every sound that Grindr makes. turn on or off any of them, customize any of them to be a new sound. it's a very "all or nothing" approach now that leads to missed messages.11 votes -

Loging out
Being able to log out without having to go into settings and all the way down to log out and then confirm log out there should be a hot button in the menu right underneath your profile where it says log out this is an app used by a lot of discreet married men there should be no problem logging out and it doesn't keep you logged in for an hour after you logged out

Misusing another users' photos
Some are stealing photos of genuine users from social media like Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter and misusing them as profile picture in Grindr. In addition to this, they blackmail the genuine users that rob money to remove the picture. Grindr team should immediately ban the misusing user, once they are reported by the genuine innocent users.
